Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Fingerprint Day

Took this picture of these yellow wild flowers down by the pond yesterday.

I got up early this morning and was out walking at 6:00.  It was 46 degrees out, dark but clear and I felt like it was the middle of the night.  Looking up I saw millions of stars.

Hardly any cars out at this time but there were a lot of big trucks going through town.
Stayed around town under the street lights so I could see where I was going.
The sunrise was very pretty this morning.
When it got a bit lighter I walked around one of the cemeteries and the ball park loop.  Didn't see any one else out and it was too dark to see animals or take pictures.  As I walked in the door the sun was just coming over the mountain and shining on the town.

I walked 5.5 miles.

The reason I was up and out walking early was because we left the house at 8:15 and went to church.  It was Fingerprint day again.  There were 16 of us putting together the book of Romans in French Creole which will be sent to Haiti.  Ken and I worked on the stapler machines again.  We worked till 4:30.  We all put over 5,000 of them together.
Sandy and Brian took a break to make us all lunch.  We had tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches.  : )  We always have a good time and I am thankful that we can be a part of this.
In October we will doing another language.

On the way home we stopped and had pizza for supper.

Since I was inside all day when I got home I wandered around the yard and then cut some more dead daisies back.  Filled up yet another garbage can.

It's been another good day.
Hope your day was been a good one too.

A snowflake is one of God's most fragile creations,
but look what they can do when they stick together.

I like your quote. It reminds me of the saying, "There is power in numbers." Lovely pictures of your walk this morning. The Haitians will be happy to receive something in their language! This is good work that you are doing.

Seeing so many stars is wonderful. When we first moved to Columbia we could see all those stars. Then industry put in all those buildings with all their lights. Now I see very few stars. They are not on a beautiful dark sky.
