Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

An unwelcome guest

✿     ✿     ✿     ✿

This morning is was 55 degrees with some sun and some low hanging clouds to walk through.

I walked through town and up Sale Barn Rd.  Once I encountered a couple of dogs so now always turn around on a bend in the road just before I get to the end where the dogs live.  Today I was just about there when a pickup truck pulled up along side of me and the man said, "Watch the dogs!"  I told him I knew about the dogs but thanked him anyway.

I had a most unwelcome guest with me for about a half mile when I was walking - A Fly.  What a persistent fellow he was buzzing around me!!  I'm thinking he spotted a cow and went to bother her. : )

I walked around one of the cemeteries and the ball park loop too once I got back to town.

No coins today but during the month of August I found 40 cents - 3 dimes, a nickle, and 5 pennies.
Walked 5.3 miles.

A work day up at Happy Trails.  We got the back part of the roof finished.  Now we don't have to keep putting the tarps over it anymore. : )  The panels that you see standing up there are for the front part of the roof.  They will go up tomorrow.
We didn't stay ALL day and came home around 3:00.  I've been cutting more of the flannel figures out and now have two of the sheets completed and little bit of the third.  I have to stop and rest every so often because my fingers are really getting sore.

We ended up going to Brenda's for pizza for supper.  I hope to make the eggplant for  us and our neighbors on Friday.  If they can't make it then, I'm just going to make a couple of eggplant Parmesans and we can eat one and I'll give them the other one.

I'm off to watch a little television now and have my ice cream.

Hope your day was a happy one and you smiled often.

Good morning, those dogs must be a menace. Your cabin does look good, what is going to be on the outside, vinyl siding? Enjoy your day!

The cabin looks great!
When we walk in the morning Chuck is the one who usually gets bothered by a fly to two.
While we lived out in the country in Nova Scotia we always had to be on the lookout for dogs too. No fun!
Have a good day!

Those flies are so annoying! Especially when they wear out their welcome.
Great progress is being made on your cabin.

I've never been bothered by a fly on a walk, but those pesky little gnats make up for their absence!

Well I'd be a bit leery of loose dogs myself, it's nice the man warned you. I hate pesky flies.
Looks like the cabin is coming along nicely.
