Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

More rain

✿     ✿     ✿     ✿
This morning the temperature was 68 degrees with a bit of a breeze.  Cloudy when I started out walking but after a while there was a rain shower.  It was a light one and only lasted a few minutes and that was the only rain so I didn't get wet.  I had to wear my old walking shoes because my shoes were still wet from yesterday.

First went to the post office to drop off another Netflix and then continued out the other side of town and walked down just past the HT turn off.  Turned around and went back to town.  Walked around the two cemeteries and then back home.

The rabbits were back out all over the place again and saw the usual birds too.  No people about.  Nothing out of the ordinary today.

I walked 5.4 miles.

It's been raining on and off all day again.  Rainy weather doesn't usually bother me all that much but I am sure getting tired of it about now.  Hope tomorrow we see some sun.

Ken has been driving the church bus all this week for Bible Time so I've been having most of the day to myself.  I've been able to get a lot done around the house.

This morning I walked over to Sherry's for my hair appointment.  A dye and trim, so today I'm having a good hair day. : )

I was invited to some kind of a home decorating party this evening but I ended up not going.   It started raining hard and I don't like driving at night in the rain.

I've started knitting scarf number 4.  Will post a picture when I get a little more done.  This one is red and white.

Hope you found the happiness in your day.

Update on the man who was hit by a car and killed in town a few weeks ago.  He was hit by a young woman driving a Corvette.  She left the scene for a short time but then came back.  She has been charged with vehicular manslaughter.

Must be a delight, the rain and all -well more enjoyable whilst indoors. Its been hot and sunny here for weeks. That's a lovely quote indeed. Sad to hear about the man hit by the young woman.

That story is so sad all the way around. Do you know ifnthe man was walking with traffic or against it? So many pedestrians walk with traffic and it is dangerous.

We had rain again today, which bugged me because we were promised sun. It's been quite unsettled in the weather department. What are you getting done home alone? Cleaning or decorating or gardening? With you, probably all of the above. =D

Sounds like you had a nice walk before all the rain came. I hope we have sunshine today too. I wonder if the woman who hit and killed the man was drunk? Happy Friday, have a great weekend!

I've just been catching up on your posts, I've been busy this week and not got round to doing much in the blog department apart from reading some here and there. We've had a lovely sunny day here after a week of bad weather and snow, so have enjoyed it. Home alone is good sometimes, isn't it?

It sounds like you have been getting your fair share of rain. I'm sure the lawns and gardens are appreciative.
The details of the car accident are so sad. So many lives forever changed.

Sounds like you have been having similar weather that we are having although today is sunny.
Chuck and I are getting accustomed to him being home all day now. I was use to being alone a lot and getting my housework done during the day. Oh well I would much rather have him home;)
I hope you Mom is doing alright Karen.
So sad about the gentleman being killed.

What kind of movies do you get from Netflix? Have you ever thought about doing a monthly subscription at home?

Much of my family lives in SE West Virginia, south of you I guess, and they have had SO much rain. Too much rain. My brother and his wife have a pick-your-own blueberry farm, and their customers have not been coming to pick. Lovely berries, but no pickers. Quite sad. They are hoping for dry days so they can sell and earn their income for the year.

It is good that the woman came back. she can't undo what happened but facing it head on is best. That is really tragic. I see the way that people drive and I am amazed that more accidents don't happen.
