Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself;
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today.
I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet.
I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.

A rainy walk

✿     ✿     ✿     ✿
Didn't get a chance to post or read blogs yesterday.  We had to go down to Hunt Valley for the day.  Not used to all the crowds and people anymore and it was so nice to get back home again. : )  Missed my morning walk too.

I didn't even mind that it was a rainy walk, just nice to walk again. : )
It was 52 degrees.  This time I took along my umbrella but a lot of me got wet anyway.  It did keep my head and shoulders dry.

Dropped a book off at the library book drop and then just walked all over town.  A man who drives one of the big mail trucks gives me a toot and a wave when he sees me.  Today I saw him over by the post office and stopped to meet him and say hi in person.   : )  His name is John.

No other people out walking and even the birds and rabbits were under cover somewhere out of the rain.

I walked 5.6 miles.

Many of you sounded interested in the Norwex products.  Kim asked if you had to buy them at a party and Karen said she found them on Amazon.  I went to Amazon and found them and they are cheaper there and the next time I need to buy something I'll go there instead of a party.
Here's the LINK.

I finished knitting the scarf I've been working on.  I'm going to knit about 15 of them, all different colors and when we have our ladies get a away with church this winter I plan to give each of them a scarf.  This scarf is number 3.
Just staying home today doing things around the house.  My book club meets today at 5:30 so we'll have an early supper.  I'll walk to the library and Ken will pick me up in time for us to go to church.

Posting early today because I didn't post at all yesterday and will busy this evening.
Hope your day is a happy one.
happyone : )
May you always have work for your hands to do.
May your pockets hold always a coin or two.
May the sun shine bright on your windowpane.
May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near you.
And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.

  9. Nice scarf! I'd love to see all the yarn things you make. You mentioned some squares you're making. What are those? 52 degrees sounds so wonderful. We are still hot here. I'm eager for autumn.
