It was a warm cloudy morning with a temperature of 59 degrees when I started out on my walk and soon after the sun came out.Yesterday the wrong mail was delivered to our house so first thing on my walk I went and put the mail in the right mailbox. It was the same number as us, but on the street behind us. Then walked over to the mail box and put some mail down the slot.
I walked around town again including the two cemeteries. There is a third cemetery in town but this one doesn't have a path to walk around it and is just along one of the streets. It looks so pretty with the phlox blooming in amongst the grass.
The pond down by the Drane House has a family of geese. Had zoom in to get their picture.
As I walked around the ball park loop, Joe was there mowing the grass. Kathy was out walking around the cemeteries again today too.
I walked 5.3 miles.

As soon as breakfast was finished we headed up to the stone place and got another load of stone in our trailer and took it right up to Happy Trails and spread it out on the road we are making which will lead up the the cabin. Here's a picture with the one load of stone that Ken spread out yesterday. After three loads of stone today this is what it looked like when we were finished for the day. That's me up there at the end. 2 or 3 more loads and we will be done.
After working we walked around HT trails for a bit just enjoying our land.
Once we got back home and cleaned up, we sat out on the front porch and did a little reading.
Life is Good. : )
Hope your day has been a happy one.

One problem with gazing too frequently into the past
is that we may turn around to find the future has run out on us.

What a great day you had! Quite an accomplishment with all that stone spreading. I'd say you sleep well tonight!
I admired the phlox in the neighbor's yard across the street from my daughter--such a perky patch of pink. Cute little goose family. The stone looks like a lot of hard work, but it's nice at the end of the day to see what has been accomplished. You deserved time for feet up and a good read!
Hello, the creeping phlox is pretty and I love that barn shot! The geese family is cute and I love your Robin header.. You are working hard on your land.. Enjoy your day and the week ahead!
Your pathway looks great. What a lot of work you two have done. But I guess it is not work when you enjoy it. Love the Canada Geese.
Hi Karen, I've been taking a little break from blogging for a few days. Just looked at your posts since last Thursday ... wow, lots of activity and some excellent new photos. The "pond" photo is my favorite but they are all good. Thanks for sharing your photos and blog.
Your place is coming along. You will someday enjoy having all of the work done and you can relax at your Happy Trails retreat.
