Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A beautiful sunny day

⚑     ⚑     ⚑     ⚑
The weather has gotten back to normal and it was 50 degrees and sunny this morning when I walked.  It was a beautiful morning and I walked the Farm Loop.
The diary farm is coming up on the left.  Only a few out in the field today.
This new baby and its mom were enjoying the sunshine but when I got close to the fence mom turned and started walking off with baby close by her side.
Passed a couple of bike riders off to the side on the road with a flat tire on one of their bikes.  One rider rode off to get another tire saying, "I'll be right back." and the other started walking his bike.  20 minutes later the one guy was still walking his bike a little ways behind me.  Didn't see them again once I got back to town.

Made a couple of loops around the ball park loop where I saw another walker friend, Rebecca.

I saw a deer and a couple of bunnies.
Walked 5.3 miles.

Ken went up to Happy Trails this morning while I stayed home and did a couple loads of laundry.  Have to take advantage of these nice sunny days for drying clothes.

We were invited to a BBQ this afternoon and was asked to bring a dessert.  I made a quick and easy one.  I melted semi sweet chocolate and added some peppermint extract.  Then dipped vanilla wafers in the chocolate and put them on parchment paper to harden. Quick, easy and yummy.

The weather was perfect for the BBQ and we had a great time.  Just got home a little while ago.

I'm off to sit on the porch until it gets dark.

Life is Good.
Hope you found happy moments in your day.

The other day a man asked me what I thought was the best time of my life.
"Why, " I answered without a thought, "now."

How fun to see a baby calf and it's mom on your walking route.
Love the sounds of your dessert for being quick and easy, not to mention the winning chocolate mint combo.
Your Memorial Day sounds nice and the flag flying in the breeze is a beautiful sight. Did you see the bag piper on your walk?

What a lovely day! We have had so much rain here. I've seen videos of rivers flowing down regular streets. It's crazy! I love the sunshine in your photos and I can just imagine how wonderful the air is there. SO glad you had a great weekend!

That dessert is so easy and sounds really nice, I'll have to keep it in mind for when I need to take a plate somewhere.

That dessert sounds soooo yummy! You are clever! What a surprise to see a man all dressed in "uniform" playing the bagpipes.
