I waited for some of the time in the waiting room and then I went back to the car and waited there. I had brought a book to read and some knitting to do too.
When Ken was done we met my friend Mary Jo at Bob Evans and had a breakfast/lunch. It was so nice to see her again and we had a really nice visit. : ) I had blueberry French toast - yummy. We were very hungry because Ken had to fast for the blood work and I didn't eat either.
Drove around the old neighborhood where we used to live in Savage and my walking friend Lin was out in her yard so we stopped by and had a little visit with her too.
So many people and cars down that way. Though we really liked living there at the time, it just seems so crowded now and we were glad to head back home to our little town. : )
Yesterday when I was walking around the industrial park I came across this wild turkey pecking at his reflection in the window. Once he saw me he took off. Picture isn't that good and it is the only picture I have for today.
Spent a lot of time sitting around today. Looking forward to my walk in the morning.
Hope your day was sunny and bright.
happyone : )

The blueberry French toast sounds yummy. I like living in our small town as well. I don't do well in city traffic.
What a treat to have breakfast at Bob Evans! It sounds like you had a mini-reunion.
Anne Lamott is a favorite of one of our daughters. In fact, she gave me one of her books for Christmas!
Sounds like a nice visit with your old friends.. The french toast sounds delicious.. I love the turkey shot.. Have a happy Tuesday!
Hi Happyone, Most people seem to like living whereever they are ... I think it's a good thing. Your photo of the rays of light through the trees on yesterday's post was just awesome! It is worthy of an award in a contest. Have a great day. Hope your mom got the card and a good smile out of it.
Small town living has been a great way to go for us, too. One of our children lives in a large town and the other one is in a rural setting. I love the slower pace of living we have found in small towns.
Loved the turkey picture! When we lived in Hampshire County, WV we had a turkey who made a daily visit to our patio to view himself in the dining room window. :)
Like your Anne Lamott quote! It is so true of how we should live our lives.
That turkey is a riot! One of my blogging buddies has mourning doves waiting to get in her house, but a turkey?! Ha!
It is so nice to go back for visits, but once you get used to a a quieter place, it sure makes a difference! The turkey photo is cute, we have some wild turkey here at the farm but seldom see them, they are smart birds, contrary to what folks say! Hope your dh gets a great Dr's report.
Thank you for sending me your mom's address,
Blessings,
Sue
