Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Feels like spring

☀     ☀     ☀     ☀
35 degrees this morning when I left for my morning walk and it was sunny too.  Mailed off a Netflix at the post office and dropped a book off at the library too.  April is tract month at my church and I took ten of those with me and put them around town.  Gave one to Kathy who was walking this morning too.  She took one and said thank you. : )

I walked all over town in a crazy zig zaggy route.  Don't think I could even map it out if I tried. : )  It really feels like spring is here now.  The grass is starting to green up.
Up by the cemetery I saw some swallows, red-winged back birds, and killdeers and around the ball park loop were a couple of geese.  They stayed around to get their picture taken.
Walked a ways up Sale Barn Road ( just realized I had the words transposed and have been calling the road Barn Sale all this time) to see if the cows were around.  Some were coming down out of the woods, some eating and the little one was resting. : )
By the time I got back home it was in the 40's.  A perfect walking morning.
I walked 6.5 miles.

Such a pretty sunny day I didn't have to hang my clothes up in the drying room but got to hang them outside to dry.
We had to drive down to LaVale this morning to pick up a part for the ATV that they were holding for us.  We drove down the highway and came home the back road.

It was too nice to be in side so I went out and started tidying up a part of the front garden getting it ready for planting some flowers, though I won't do be able to do that till next month.  Sat in the swing for a while too.  The temperature got up to the low 60's!!  I love spring days like this.

I think it is supposed to rain tomorrow which is probably a good thing because I have some house cleaning to do!!

Hope you've had a happy day sunny day too.

I love this weather after a longer than usual winter. Spring here usually starts about March 1, but not this year. Everything has exploded in the last week - things that should have been blooming over the past month is now in bloom along with the stuff that normally blooms in April. It is driving me crazy not to do walking or hiking but I am just trying to look on it as temporary - rather than permanent health problems that many people have. Enjoy the day. Praying for your mother. Art

Hooray for early spring days. It really is hard to stay in when so much new life is bursting forth outside and the air is so fresh.
I hope you and Ken had a Happy Easter. Keeping your mom in my thoughts and prayers.

How nice to hang the wash on the line! Happy walking!

Always good to see clothes on the line. I hope that Ken is feeling better today. Hospitals are notoriously germy places...maybe not as bad as classrooms. 😊

Glad that you are home and getting back to "normal." Will continue to pray for your folks as they come to mind. I found more money today!

Love your days and I am so jealous of those nice walks you take each morning. Perhaps one day I can get into a regular routine. :-)

The weather is amazing, isn't it? LOVE this time of year! The sun was shining so invitingly that I went out for a bit yesterday and walked also! But, definitely not your 6.5 miles. :)

Glad you are home...continuing to pray for your mom.

Hi Happyone, Wow, enjoyed the pics without the snow! :-) You are so right, Spring has arrived there. So good to see you out on your walks again! Have a great day!

Love seeing the green grass up there. It's as if you left in the winter and returned home in the spring. The temps have been high 60's last couple of days, but so windy. There are many branches, some of them pretty big, lying around. Thinking of you and praying for you and yours. Mary Jo

You have such a nice area to walk and take in all the great scenery. I've missed popping in and I do hope things are going better for your family.
