Horses down by the Drane House
☀ ☀ ☀ ☀
Left the house again at 7:10 and it was 32 degrees, no wind and the sun came out. A beautiful morning for taking a walk.I walked all around town and around the two cemeteries and the loop around the ball park. Also went in the woods by the ball park and walked along the stream.
Its is just a short path and it soon ends here.
I think if I cross over the stream the woods will end up behind the industrial park but it is on someone's land I don't want to trespass.
I thought I heard a cardinal, looked up and sure enough there he was.
I saw the woman with the ear phones again and today she stopped, she took out her ear phones and we had a little chat. : ) After we continued on our different ways I realized I forgot to ask her name.I walked 6 miles.
Haven't found any coins in quite a while but today I found a penny in the library parking lot. : )

Right after breakfast I walked down the street to Sherry's for my hair appointment and my gray roots are once again dark brown. We never did wash the cars this afternoon. Though it was a pretty sunny day the air was cold. Supposed to rain tomorrow anyway and I have to go out in my car tomorrow evening.
I made a double batch of the Black and White cookies. (Picture and recipe HERE.) The women from church are getting together for dinner and fellowship tomorrow and we are all bringing something. Thought they might like the cookies.
Finished reading another book, Bertie's Guide to Life and Mothers by Alexander McCall Smith. It is book number 9 in the 44 Scotland Street series. I've enjoyed this whole series, but somehow I missed book 8, Sunshine on Scotland Street and will have to read that one too.
Haven't started a new knitting project yet. I'll be making some weave-it squares for the next few days.
Hope your day was a happy one.
happyone : )
It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot
and the wind blows cold:
when it is summer in the light,
and winter in the shade.

Comment Replies:John - If you scroll down you will see a link to the Drane House.
Karen - No, I stopped going to the nursing home. I didn't feel like I was really making a difference. It seems they all have family who visit often. I'm still doing the prison letters though.

Getting caught up here again today. Brett has my laptop. I'm not good commenting from IPad.
Glad to see you're back to walking outside.
That cardinal looks so bright and pretty against the vivid blue sky. You made walking sound so good, it made me want to try it! Ha!
Good to have better weather for your walking now! The cookies sound wonderful! The car was washed today here. It had been a long time since the last washing. Now we hear there will be rain tomorrow.
Love your pics today. I am happy you stopped and talked to the lady with the headphones!
Your Black and Whites will be a big hit tomorrow evening. :) Have a wonderful time!
Glad you had an opportunity to chat with the lady with the earphones. I've been praying for her. :) I know God is using you.
Have a great weekend!
I have a very good friend over in Montana who has horses ... he would love that first photo. For me, my favorite is the Cardinal. Neat shot! Have a great weekend Happyone!
Hi, Karen. Sorry to be gone from the blogging world for so long. But I have "visited" you several times. Mom died in December. The winter was hard for me. But I am doing ok. I am finally getting back to blogging again and visiting other blogs regularly. Glad to see everything is still fine with you. Keeping your mom in my prayers. Elaine
Love that first picture!
Sounds like a nice day for you.
Hope you have a great weekend :)
