Thank you all so much for your kind thoughts and prayers.
I can feel your caring in your words.
Only thing my mom's surgery was postponed for at least a week.
Why you ask - because there were no beds for her in ICU
once the surgery would be done.
They were in the hospital, my mom already had her wrist band on
when they were told that her surgery had to be postponed.
So home they went and now have to wait for a new date.
As upsetting as this is I reminded myself that God has His own
plan and timing and knows best.
There was some reason that only God knows why it was not a good
day for her surgery.
So I will continue to pray and trust His timing.
Thanks again. : )

This morning it was 29 degrees, dark, and calm with not even a breeze. Saw the sun come up but that's all I saw before it got covered over in clouds.I had my usual walk all around town a few times, around the cemeteries and the ball park loop and the path shown in the picture. I don't have any special route but just walk where I feel like going at the moment.
I saw Kathy but we didn't stop, just a quick "Good Morning." She drives her car to town to walk.
This picture is taken at a small park in town. My house is behind those pine trees way to the right.
I walked 6.2 miles.
Found a nickel in the library parking lot.

We went out and did a few errands in the morning and after lunch went up to Happy Trails. Ken did a little work in the Tool Shop, which is the building here on top of the hill. Doesn't like much of a hill but if you walked up it you would know better. : ) The building down at the bottom is the Tractor Barn for those of you who are new to reading my blog. While Ken worked I walked around the paths and the road picking up dead fall along with way.
Ken took this picture of me standing in the middle of where our little cabin will be looking out at the view.
We are about to leave to go out to dinner now.
Posting this a bit earlier than usual today because I know you are wondering about my mother.
Hope your day was a good one and you smiled often.

Thank you for the early post to let us know about your mom. I am sorry that her surgery had to be postponed because I know how disappointing that must have been for her, but I agree with you in knowing that God knows best and for whatever His reason today was not the day for her surgery.
Your picture of the chipmunk is amazing!
It is always hard when a surgery has to be postponed, I think. I'm glad you are in a good place about it, after all there's not much that can be done other than wait. All the best to your mom, I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers. And thank you so much for your support through my difficult moments.
Very sorry to hear about your mom! Have a wonderful evening!
Hi, I still love seeing your updates and work from Happy Trails. I would love love love that area (as you know since I've said it many times..ha)...
So sorry about your Mom's surgery being postponed. I'm sure that upset her... But--as you said, God is in control... (Just wish humans would get their acts together..... ha)
Hugs,
Betsy
Thankful that God is in control and knows what's best. Will continue to remember all of you in my prayers and I will thank God that He has protected her from some potential unforeseen complication.
That is sure a cute picture of the chipmunk! Things are looking good up at HT. :-)
Thanks for letting us know about your mom.

How upsetting for your mom but hopefully all will go well on the new date.
I can imagine how disappointing it must have been for your mom to get that far and have the surgery postponed.
The little chipmunk photo is so cute. It looks like he is saying a prayer. Perhaps for your mom :).
I'm so sorry that your mom has to wait. Drat.
My mom had some outpatient surgery yesterday and I prayed a lot.
She's good. Home and resting.
Take care, friend.
Hi Happyone, Maybe it was due to all the prayers that someone at the hospital realized that there wasn't a room in ICU for you mom. These days we hear about hospitals/doctors operating on wrong patients or parts of the body. Regardless, I am happy that things worked out and surgery has been rescheduled. Really enjoyed the photos up at Happy Trails. Following your blog on a daily basis is so neat ... almost like being there. Thanks for sharing! John
Well, have to figure all will still turn out well. Thinking of you. Love Happy Trails!
