The Drane House in the morning fog
☀ ☀ ☀ ☀
Left the house again at 7:10 this morning. It was a warm 40 degrees with a misty fog. Stayed around town, so didn't have to deal with the traffic by the school.Walked to the post office first and dropped off a couple of Netflix in the mail slot. Then continued over the the cemeteries. Took this picture walking around one of the cemeteries.
Went to see if the loop behind the ball park was clear and most of it was except for this part here. The melting ice was very slippery so walked in the grass on the side.
Then just walked around town for the rest of my walk.
I walked my usual 6.2 miles.

Once the fog burned off it was a warm beautiful sunny day in the 50's. Tomorrow is supposed to be just like today. We plan to wash our cars.I spent all morning reading and finished my book for my book club, A Sudden Light by Garth Stein. It was a good book and I enjoyed it but a hard book to explain here in a few words. An old house is involved, some ghosts, and some strange goings on.
After lunch I baked a batch of chocolate chippers and added a dozen cookies to the package with the blue and yellow scarf. Then walked to the post office and mailed it off.
Walked to the library for my book club. I was curious to hear what the others thought about the book. Everyone liked the book and we had a good discussion about it. All thought it was a page turner.
Ken picked me up and off we went to church.
Home now for a little television and some ice cream.
Hope your day has been happy and bright.

Great opportunities to help others seldom come,
but small ones surround us every day.

Comment replies:Billy - the pond is natural but Ken dug it out a little deeper with the backhoe.

It sounds like a full and active day! I'm so glad it's warmer!
I love these foggy mornings! Glad you were able to walk outside again today!
Oh, I love that picture of the Drane House in the fog! I'm glad you were able to walk for your usual miles today. Someone is going to really love receiving a package from you! That's a very thoughtful thing to do.
Its so nice that it was warm enough for an outside walk, even if it was foggy. Hearinb about your chocolate chippers always makes me hungry. ;-) Enjoy the rest of the week.
:-)
I love the foggy scenes, very pretty. Sounds like you had a busy day. I am glad the snow is melting.. Have a happy day!
Really interesting photo of the Drane house. Just wondering if you have talked about the history of that place on your blog? If yes, I would like to look back and read that post. The building construction looks very, very old.
Pretty pictures.
Sounds like you had a good day :)
Chocolate chippers sound yummy.

The fog is pretty. We need to wash vehicles here, too. I haven't seen you write about the nursing home; are you still visiting there? Hope you have a wonderful afternoon :)
Very atmospheric...ghosts and all...
