Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Puzzles to be framed

The Toads live here.
I think they went to a warmer climate for the winter. : )
☀     ☀     ☀     ☀
Last night when we went to bed it was 1 degree.  It had warmed up to 8 by morning but with the wind it was just too cold to be outside walking.  Another day for walking in the basement - 3 miles, 1 mile and then two miles.

Went to the Dollar General and picked out some greeting cards.  This is a great place to get cards.  They have a great selection at a great cost - 2 for $1.  I got 6 cards.

From there we went to Lowes.  Ken had to get wood and plaster for his train layout and we picked up some corner molding so we could frame two of the jigsaw puzzles we put together - the birds and the cows.
Puzzles glued on poster board with sealer on top.
Puzzles cut and corner molding cut in pieces for the frame. I was going to buy wood molding and then paint them but this simulated wood molding was cheaper and saved a step.  The molding comes in white and a few different wood colors and I chose this lighter color.
Will glue the pieces right on to the puzzle and tomorrow there will post pictures of them hanging up.

Going to another baby shower tomorrow afternoon for Katherine, another woman from church.  I knitted the blue hat and bought the overalls, shirt and shoes for her baby.  Wrapped it all up and it is ready to go.  Her baby is due in March.
Made a few more weave-its today and will continue making them this evening watching an episode of Upstairs, Downstairs which we own.  Of course I will also be eating my ice cream snack. : )  Finished up the Whoopie pie flavor yesterday and will start on the chocolate chip mint.

Hope your day as been a good one and you smiled often.

Diana - Ah too bad that my pastor is so far away from you.  That would have been cool if you could have heard him.  Wouldn't he have been surprised if you showed up and  mentioned that you knew me so far from home!! : )

John - Yes, I do like the snow.  I never realized  I did liked it until we moved here. The winter seems so pretty with snow, otherwise things just look drab and dreary.  The snow makes me happy. : )

Vee - Don't know about the weekend weather yet, but it seems to snow every other day!!

Cute picture of the Toad's house! We never tried to frame my puzzles ourselves. That might be a good idea! Your illustrations are good ones! Enjoy that ice cream!

I love that little house and your puzzles look like fun. I wish it would get cold here too. We are at over 4,000 feet and should have snow, instead the sun is warm, bees buzz, ground squirrels are waking up, and it's like spring.

I don't blame the toads for moving south for the winter, although their little home does look pretty in the snow. Your puzzles are going to look great on the wall.

I love the little toad house. How darling!
After all the work it takes to put a puzzle together, framing is a good choice.

Hope you get a break from the cold soon!
