Reflection
✼ ✼ ✼ ✼
I thought there would be snow coming down when I woke up but not a flake to be seen. It was 32 degrees and no wind at all. The ground was wet and just a few places were icy.
I stayed mostly on the main road because I knew they were treated and wouldn't run into ice. So I walked down passed the road to HT and then turned around and came back to town. Walked up the hill and went to the Drane house. I've taken quite a few pictures from the front but here's a view of the back
and this is the pond behind the house.
Finished up my walk around town and then it was back home for breakfast.
I walked 6.2 miles.

It's been mostly cloudy but we have seen the sun for a while today too. Snow is supposed to be on the way. Here's hoping. We got the red lights on the tree last night and today I decorated the tree with red bows, some snowflakes that a friend made for me years ago. The final touch for me is putting the tinsel on the tree. To me it is just not a Christmas tree until the tree is shimmering in tinsel.
It is kind of hard to take a good picture of the tree with the picture window behind it but these two are the best ones out of all the ones I took.
Now I'm off to at least make a start on writing out my Christmas cards.
Hope your day has been a happy one.

will never find it under a tree.

I like the pretty tree and scenes from your walk. And your Christmas tree looks beautiful. Very festive. Have a great evening!
I like that quote and also your red tree.
Your red lights tree is very pretty. You may be the last gal I know to do tinsel. You're the only one patient enough for the job! The first photo is stunning...the water as smooth as a mirror.
I LOVE the tree reflection picture and your red tree is charming. I do like tinsel on a tree as well, but find it gets in everywhere,I don't like to deal with it later,so I leave it off.Guess I'm lazy.
Nice tree!
The photo of the reflection of the tree in the water is amazing. So clear! Your Christmas tree looks warm and cozy. Mary Jo
Your red tree is beautiful, as is your photo of the reflection. I would enjoy seeing a picture of your Christmas tree after the tinsel is on. It's been a long time since I've seen a beautiful tinsel-covered tree.
Love the red tree and those snowflakes are gorgeous... We don't use tinsel these days --but I grew up using it!!!
Cold here this morning with a few flurries blowing around.. But--we got no snow at all from this latest system.
Hugs,
Betsy
So pretty!
It's been a long time since I used tinsel but I agree it is very pretty and your tree looks wonderful.
The reflection picture is really special.
Gosh, that's a beautiful, perfect reflection of the tree! I like the photo of the pond behind the Drane House, too. Your skies look like they are ready to give you some snow. :)
Your Christmas tree looks lovely. I've never had tinsel on a tree but I think it is adds a wonderful touch. I love the crocheted snowflakes.

Love the reflection image!
I like both the trees - your red tree, and the pine reflected in the water. Beautiful!
