Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

No morning walk

I am thankful for Junior Mints. : )

I woke up late this morning and a little after 7:00 this is what it looked like out of my dining room window and it was 30 degrees.
The snow was too deep to wear my hiking boots and there were snow plows all over so I decided not to walk this morning.  I could have worn my snow boots but they aren't good for going for long walks.

I felt bad about not walking but in the afternoon I went outside and walked around the yard and went for a little walk up and down the street.  The snow was heavy on the pine trees and some of the branches were down on the ground in the snow.
So I walked around knocking the snow off the branches and watching them spring back up.  Sometimes as they went up I had a shower of snow fall on me.  : )

Our little water feature is frozen and covered in snow.  Good thing we didn't get any fish.
It was nice getting outside for a while.   I needed a little outside time.  : )

We've been home watching it snow on and off for the past three days and haven't been anywhere so for supper tonight we are headed out to Uno's.

Hope your having a tip top day.
happyone : )
Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire,
if you did, what would there be to look forward to.

Wow! You certainly have had snow for Thanksgiving! We have bright sunshine here, and no precipitation at all for the past few days! Enjoy Uno's tonight. We had one in our area for several years, and we always enjoyed going. Oddly, it closed! I was not too happy about that.

Pretty snowy scenes! We had a light snow the day before Thanksgiving and some flurries on Thanksgiving.. It never laid on the streets. Uno's sounds yummy.. Have a happy weekend!

Your snow is beautiful. We had a wintry mix Wednesday. It didn't leave a mess though.Mary Jo

Hi Karen - like you I miss my walk when I don't get one. I'm not walking tonight either because Charly likes to go shopping on Black Friday evening after the crowds die down so we will do that tonight. Your snow is so pretty. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. P.S. If I can work out a visit with my daughter in Maryland, I may be headed back there next summer. Nothing for sure yet...it all depends on my daughter but I will let you know. Would love to meet up!
