I'm thankful for snow.
It turns the world into a winter wonderland.

33 degrees this morning and it just started snowing when I left on my walk. A wet snow that started sticking right away.
I walked all over town taking pictures along the way. The snow plows were out first thing and I tried to stay off the roads where they were.
No school today because of Thanksgiving tomorrow so there were no buses out this morning. Didn't see any other people out walking again today. No animals out that I saw either.
This is the house where yesterdays widow picture came from.
It was a nice walk in the snow. It snowed the whole time I was walking.
I walked 6 miles.

Last evening at church went well. Thanks for the prayers and good wishes. : ) Five people gave their testimonies and I was the first one. I started, said the first sentence and my mind went blank. I said to myself, Lord please help and words just came out. I even told a little story about when I was 4 getting my tonsils out in the hospital. People laughed at times and got teary eyed too. Afterwards people came up to me and hugged me and said I did great. : ) With God's help I got through it all just fine. Ken gave his testimony right after me and he did a fine job. Had people in tears.
Another couple was after us and there was a young teenager who gave hers too. We are all so blessed to be part of this church and to have such a loving, caring, Pastor.
There were lots of pies to eat too and I tried way to many of them. : )
This morning was a baking one for me. I baked a pumpkin pie for us and seven little loaves of pumpkin bread. We will eat one and the others will be little Christmas gifts. They freeze great so I can make them ahead of time.
It continues to snow and we are nice and cozy inside watching it snow. Here is a look out of the front window.
Our shed out back.
The rest of the afternoon I plan to do a little reading and knitting.
Hope you are enjoying your day.

Lovely your snowy winterland.. Pretty images.. We are getting some snow now too. A couple of inches on the ground already.. The pie and bread looks yummy.. Have a happy Thanksgiving!
Hi Friend, Just stopping by to say Happy Thanksgiving to you. Even in places where Thanksgiving is not celebrated (or celebrated on the 4th Thursday in November like ours is) —it can be a time for each of us to take time to thank God for our blessings and also not to forget the “Giving” in the word, ThanksGIVING. We all have lots of blessings —but many times, we ignore the giving part….Not just on Thanksgiving Day, but all of the time, please take time to contact family/friends just to say HI… And remember that a big SMILE can lift someone’s day…. Little things like that can really HELP..
Enjoy your snow. We 'may'??? get some tonight/in the morning --but not much I don't think...
I knew you would do GREAT at church.. With God's help, we can all do anything.
God Bless…
Happy Thanksgiving.
Hugs,
Betsy

Happy....Thanksgiving Day.....love your baking
Beautiful photos
I enjoyed your snowy pictures, Karen. The snow looks so pretty and it also looks cozy inside with all of that yummy baking going on. What a smart idea to bake the bread ahead of time.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and Ken.
I love that kind of snowfall. I am also waiting for it to happen here. Happy Thanksgiving to you.
Looks like you have more snow than we do now!
I send you wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving! The snow does make everything look pretty.
Oh, I love all your snowy pictures! Sounds like you did a fine job giving your testimony at church. :) I always love hearing people's stories on how they came to accept Jesus.
Your pumpkin pie and mini loaves look really nice!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and Ken!

I do love the snow. Especially when I lived in Maine out in the country, I loved it. I do wish it had not come yesterday, as my brother and sister-in-law could not make their planned Thanksgiving visit with us. The pie and pumpkin breads look delicious. Have a very happy Thanksgiving. Art
