Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

An odd potato

A foggy morning and I saw this picture
❤     ❤     ❤     ❤
The temperature was 50 degrees and it was foggy this morning when I walked.

First went to the post office and dropped a few things in the mail slot.  Then walked down the main road just past the turn off to HT and then turned around and headed back to town.  Walked around both of the cemeteries and stopped to have a little chat with Lena.

By then the sun was shining and some of the leaves are just breathtaking, especially against the blue sky.
I walked 6.2 miles.

Many of you asked about the long bread pan.  I've had it for years and years, and I'm not positive but I think I picked it up in one of the kitchen stores they used to have in the mall.  The kind that have all sorts of neat stuff that you would love to have but don't need and probably won't use once you get it home. : )  I've only used it a couple of times in the past but it will be something I will use more often now.

The time has rolled around again to get my hair colored.  Hard to believe it's been 6 weeks since I had my hair cut.  Sherry just trimmed a very little bit off the very back.  I'm letting it grow out to have a short layered bob that goes to the end of my chin.

Next on the agenda was to go food shopping at Walmart.
I spotted this potato and just had to take a picture of it.  I've never seen a heart shaped potato before.
On the way home we stopped at KFC and had lunch which will be our supper today.  We will have lunch for supper.  I think I just might have another breakfast and this time have pancakes with fresh strawberries.

Mowed the lawn this afternoon.  I'm thinking that it might be the last time this year.  Did a little weeding in the front too.

Today has been sunny and bright and hope your day is too.
A happy day to you.

Autumn burned brightly,
a running flame through the mountains,
a torch flung to the trees.

Changing things slightly for a while. Instead of three grateful things I'm going to have,
Three Things That Made Me Smile Today.
  1. Seeing Ken wave to me at the front window when I walked up the driveway
  2.  Seeing a heart shaped potato
  3.  My neighbor Harold and I waving to each other as we mowed our lawns

Gorgeous color on those trees! We have nothing like that here at this point.

I've seen some oddly shaped potatoes, but never one with a heart shape as clear as the one you show.

I could eat breakfast three times a day! Breakfast choices happen to be among my favorite foods.

Have a great evening!

I love the vibrant autumn colors you captured this morning. We've had mostly browns so far -- it's been very dry for the past couple of months. I also like your foggy morning photo. Pancakes with crest strawberries sounds like a great evening meal.

I love the colorful leaves against the clear blue sky! What a cool potato - perfect for a Valentine Day dinner!

Any day that starts and ends with breakfast is a pretty good one in my book! :^) Then again, most days are pretty good.
