Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Good Fence

Two Webs, Two Fences
I'm linking up with Good Fences. This is my Good Fence #5.  You can post one of your own or check out more fences HERE.
✼     ✼     ✼     ✼
A foggy morning walk today and the temperature was 58 degrees.  I got damp walking in the fog.

Walked half way to Happy Trails and then around town.

Stopped to talk to Joe and another worker.  They were trying to find a water leak up at one of the churches on main street.

I didn't see anyone else out and surprisingly I didn't see any rabbits today.

One of the old buildings a block off the main street looked about to fall down so now it is being taken down.
By the time I got back home, the fog had burned off and the sun was shining.
I walked 6.2 miles.
✼     ✼     ✼     ✼
I left Ken working on the stone patio and I went out to lunch with some of my friends from church.  We met at Ledo's and I really had a nice time.  We are planning on a bowling outing next time.  : )

I have found a job that I can do on the stone patio to help Ken.  In-between the stones that Ken puts down we are putting crushed stone.  My job is to crush stones into little pieces and then fill in the cracks.
Taking a rest from the stone crushing I sat perfectly still about 4 feet away from the bird feeders.  It didn't take the birds long to get used to me being there and soon they were coming and going.  How nice it was to see the birds up close.  Too bad I didn't have my camera.

That's it for today.
Hope you're having a good day and you smiled often.

Three Thankful Things Today
  1. Lunch out with friends
  2. Backyard birds
  3. That I found a job to help with the patio

The spider web picture is beautiful. Personally, I think Springbok really made a mistake not choosing your pictures for their new puzzle. Have a wonderful evening :)

What a great fence shot for the challenge - very nice capture!
The headstones in the cemetery look really old; nice shot in the mist.
Looks like it's a good idea that old building is being torn down.
If crushing those stones don't make a person tired, I don't know what will! :D

Sounds like you had a great walk, although a tad damp from the fog. Stone crushing sounds like hard work but with a nice reward, the finished patio.

Be a bit careful wielding that hammer...I got a pretty bad tendinitis when we were shaping rocks and roman pavers by hand for our sidewalk... which has now...after 15 years of good service...been replaced by exposed aggregate cement...

Oh wow the cobwebs and the fences were wonderful. Loved them. Crushing stone sounds like fun but also a lot of work. I bet it's going to look great when it's all finished.

Beautiful cobweb, I especially love cobwebs with dew on them. They look like jewels then.

Great spider web. Amazing how much water it's holding.
