Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Working on the back splash

Yesterday evening it started snowing and this morning it was still coming down.  We got about 7 more inches.  It was 20 degrees.  I walked in the basement while listening to an audio book.  This one is read by two people, a man and a women who read the male and female parts and I like it.

I walked 5 miles.

After breakfast we started on the back splash in the kitchen and worked until lunch time.
Ken did the work and I just got a few things for him but mostly watched.  Had a break for lunch and then got back to work.  This is how much got done so far.  We are pleased with how it is turning out.
We ran out of materials and need one more sheet and some edging.  We have to do this side yet.
We are about to head out to the store to pick up the rest of the materials so we can finish first thing tomorrow.

That's about all that got done today.
A happy day to you.
happyone : )
May you always have work for your hands to do.
May your pockets hold always a coin or two.
May the sun shine bright on your windowpane.
May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near you.
And my God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.
~ Irish Blessing

Three Happy Things for today.
  1. Ken made us cheese omelets for breakfast
  2. The snow is melting
  3.  Having a live in handy man

I have read so many blogs today talking about more snow. It seems winter is hanging on until the bitter end this year. We don't have snow, but it is cold and rainy.
Your new backsplash looks really nice. A live in handyman is definitely something to be thankful for and one who also makes omelets... even better.

That looks terrific! The snow will be gone in a day or two. We are pooking forward to snow on Thursday so we can get back on the luge. It's too slippery until then.

Pooking? Good heavens. There I go again.

That's a project we need to do. I might show yours to my wife in the hopes she can make up your mind! Looks good.

I like that Irish blessing! You made excellent progress on the backsplash, in my opinion. Aren't "live in handy men" the greatest!:) I have one of those, too.:)
