Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Spring is back

Got up a bit late this morning and didn't start walking until a little after 7:00.  It was 25 degrees and sunny with just a slight breeze.  Walked to the library first and dropped a book in the drop off and then to the post office to mail two Netflix back.  Then I walked the farm loop.
One of the farm houses I pass has a bunch of old bikes all over the front porch.  The last couple of times I have passed by, one of the roosters was sitting on the handle bars of a bike.  Snapped this picture of him.  He was also being very vocal.
Farther down the road I pass by some trees and again there were lots of Robins in the trees.  Most flew away when I got near but this one stayed.
Walked around town but didn't see any one else out.
I walked 6.1 miles.

By afternoon there were just patches of snow here and there and the temperature was 50 so I went outside and cut down more rose bushes and raked things up a bit.  I was out for a couple of hours.  Once again it seems like spring. : )

I'm planning on doing some reading, and later, as usual we will watch a bit of television and have a snack.  Probably ice cream - vanilla fudge.

Hope all is well in your part of the world and your day was sunny and bright.

Karen - Garrett County is it's own state when is comes to weather. : )
Deb - I carry the tracts with me and hand them out whenever the opportunity arises.  I've put some in returned library books, leave them at restaurants, or just hand them out to people when the times seems right.

Oh, I do like seeing the robins. Makes me realize for sure that spring is really here!

You got a much better picture of the robin than I did! Looks nice in your header.

Good for you on handing out those tracts! We all need to share the good news of Jesus Christ and not be shy about it! Thanks for being a great example about this...you are just my role model for so many things :-) Glad that spring is back in your area. Have a good week!

That rooster is a hoot! Hope that this is the last of the snow and then you get steady progress on spring from here on out!

Love the photo of the rooster--acting like he is the king of the world... ha

Great picture of the bike riding rooster. Now that's something you don't see every day.
It does look like Spring in your photos. The sky is so blue and pretty. We are supposed to reach 80 today. Saw a few people out in shorts... I wasn't one of them, however.
