Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Maryland puzzle

39 degrees outside when I walked.  It had just stopped raining but I wore my rain pants because everything was still wet and my sweat pants get wet up the back of my legs just from walking.  There was just a couple of minutes walking when frozen snow came down but eventually the sun came out.
I walked around town including the two cemeteries.   As you can see all the snow has melted.  Some piles around yet in parking lots which will take quite a while to disappear altogether.
I haven't seen or heard anything from Lone Chicken and friends for a awhile.  I thought on the warmer days some of them at least would be out.  Don't hear them either and today I gave them my chicken talk.  I'm wondering if they are still there.

I saw a bunny hiding along side of the road in some brush, a couple of red winged black birds and now I see lots of robins all over the place.

I walked 6 miles.
Found a penny.

Dinner with the ladies from church yesterday was a fun time.  Kathy did a great job with the food and her spring theme.  She made small sub sandwiches and put them in a crooked line to make them look like a caterpillar.  Then took cut pieces of green pepper and tucked them under the sandwiches for the legs.

Dessert was bird nests made out of rice krispie treats.  In side was green coconut for grass, tiny jelly beans for eggs and then marshmallow peeps sitting in them.  Really cute.

We also made edible arrangements out of fruit which was fun, but I forgot to bring mine home.

We also went around the room and each told of a prayer request and then prayed together. Then we just visited, talked, laughed and just enjoyed being together.

I usually take my camera with me wherever I go but last night I forgot to stick it in my purse.  I can't remember the last time I forgot it.  Took a couple photos with my phone but have no idea how to get them off the phone and onto the computer.   Spent a frustrating time trying to figure it out.

It's been a sunny day but VERY windy again.  Just stayed inside doing a few things around the house.
Spent some time reading and then finished the latest puzzle we've been working on.
It is a map of the state of Maryland and the different landmarks and historical places.  It was a fun puzzle to do.  We have lived in 4 different places through the last 20 + years.  I've marked the places on the map where we have lived.  Clicking on the picture will make it bigger.
I'm in the mood for a nice big salad for supper today.
Hope you're enjoying your Saturday.
Be Happy.

Your dinner sounds like it was a lot of fun. When I take pictures on my phone, I email them to myself and get them from there! There's probably a better way, but I haven't figured it out and am happy with just emailing them. I like your Maryland puzzle. I live 10 minutes from the Calvert Marine Museum shown on the puzzle. If you move any more, you'll be in the next state!

The dinner does sound like fun. I love that map puzzle. My own puzzle is going very slowly, but I am making just a bit of progress. Have a happy Sunday!

Oh! How exciting! Your curtains came in today's mail! What fun!

Last night sounds like a good time together. Those times are good for the soul.

Do you expect to have any snow from this weather system that is on the way tomorrow? We heard the prediction of as many as 13 inches of snow in DC!

Sounds like a fun day, and it looks like the snow is (or will soon be) a distant memory.

The puzzle looks pretty cool. Hoping to hike in Maryland again at some point. Art

The best times are when women get together with food they've cooked. You can get the best recipes and ideas. I always loved the church recipe books. Craft ideas and photos would make a fun book, also. I've never seen those, though.
