Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Left for home and the new month Bible verse.

David, Scout, and Japhy left very early this morning before I was up and walking to go back home.  This was one of those holidays where everything just works out like it is supposed to.  It was one of the nicest Thanksgiving's that I have ever had and it will never be forgotten.  : )

I met the farmer from yesterday but today he was on his tractor.  He stopped to have a chat with me.  He is Farmer Bill. : )  Here he is leaving on his tractor.   The picture is blurry but I like it just the same.

A new month so it's time for another Bible verse for us to learn at church.

Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is born,
unto us a son is given:
and the government shall be upon his shoulder:
and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor,
The mighty God, The everlasting Father,
The Prince of Peace.

Have a blessed Sunday my friends.

Vee and Kim - A chocolate chip cookie chip off sounds fun!  The other chocolate chip baker in town is a man. : )

There is a big old grin on my face because you had such a terrific Thanksgiving! I am sure that your son and grands did, too! AND, I am grinning to think of a bake off! I'd love to be the judge. ; D

The Bible verse now has me humming the selection from "The Messiah" that uses that text for the lyrics.

Hi Karen - our internet was down for several days so no blog reading for me all this weekend. I am now catching up on your visit from your grandchildren. What a fun weekend for your all. You grandkids are so cute in the picture with the huge pizza. So glad they could come and visit you. I also love your quotes about grandkids. The first one is my favorite. So glad they could come and visit you! Have a wonderful week!

I love the photo of Farmer Bill going down the road on his tractor.

Glad to hear you had a wonderful holiday with your family.

I'm going to be singing these words from "The Messiah" now...

I am so very glad your Thanksgiving was spent with your son and his kids. The memories of this will make up for those holidays you didn't have that joy. Our holiday was also pretty good. Almost all mom's family attended a Thanksgiving meal at Brooke Grove. That seldom happens any more - that all her family comes together now that she doesn't live at home any more. It make my heart very light - during a season when I am usually pretty down because of mom's situation.
