Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A happy day

We've had a wonderful day and one that I am so thankful for.  David and the kids got here at 9:30 and the day just got better and better.
Dinner went perfect.  Everything done on time and I didn't even forget to take the dinner rolls out of the oven. : )

After I said grace before we ate both my grandkids,  Japhy and Scout asked to say a pray too.  That warmed my heart! : )

It snowed on and off for most of the day.  Funny thing David said he had great weather for the drive up here, saw the sun shining but when got about a half hour from the house was when the weather changed to snow!!

After dinner and before we ate the pies we took a walk around town.
Ken, Scout, Japhy, David
That's it for today.  Hope your day was as happy as mine was.
happyone : )
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
and into His courts with praise;
be thankful unto Him
and bless His name.
Psalm 100:4

Aww...great picture! Not a lick of snow here. The rain took it all away. It sounds as if it was a wonderful Thanksgiving! Keep on having fun!

I am so glad you had the chance to spend time with one of your kids and your grand kids. That is what the holiday is about.

Your happiness shines through in this post, Karen. I'm so glad to hear that the day went so well for all of you. I'll bet the kids loved the snow.
Love the picture.
