Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

My beautiful kitchen : )

The rain and mist were gone this morning and it felt like fall.  42 degrees with a little breeze put a nice nip in the air.  There were a few clouds around but they soon gave way to some sunshine. : )

I walked mostly around town again.  The  road in the picture is just outside of town and the field to the left is where the white cow lives.

I saw a few rabbits running about and like most days I stopped to say hi to the lone chicken.  She seems to have stopped pulling out her feathers and is looking pretty good again. : )

I walked 6.4 miles - 12,195 steps.
Sunrise: 7:31
Sunset: 6:33
********************************************
At 10:30 the kitchen truck pulled up in the driveway.  There were five workers today and they all were needed as they carried in the one huge counter and put it in place.  All went well and as they put it there perfectly without anything going wrong we heard three "Thank you Lord's"  : )  I smiled because I had said a prayer that it would all go well and I said a Thank you Lord myself.
Here they are putting the top edge in place which was then glued.
Here it is installed and looking pretty.
The new sink and faucet.
Another hour or so and the kitchen was all put back together and ready for use again.
They worked a few hours on it and the men were all friendly, happy and did excellent work.  We are extremely pleased with the whole job.  I'm sure one of the reasons why they did such good work is because I put out a plate of chocolate chip cookies for them. : )
***************************************
It was a beautiful cool and sunny day.  Here's a blue sky picture for you Art to show you that the sun really does shine here. : )
The moon this evening was HUGE in the sky and I happened to get a picture of it though a bit blurry.
It's been a great day and I am so thankful for my nice new kitchen.

Hope your day was a sunny one.

October's the month
When the smallest breeze
Gives us a shower
of autumn leaves.
Bonfires and pumpkins,
Leaves sailing down -
October is red
And golden and brown.
