I didn't see any people out walking or running but did see a deer running down the side of the road. It was on the main road and cars were driving by so I was glad to see him turn and go back into the woods instead of across the street.
Most days now I see a town worker drive by in the town pick truck and he waves to me each morning. He drives around just checking things out around town. I see him a few times during my walk.
When I started walking around here I passed by 4 chickens and a rooster. They have slowly died off and now this is the only one left. She always clucks at me when I say Good Morning to her. I wonder if she is lonely all by herself.
It was nice being out walking in the cool weather.
I walked 6 miles and my steps were 11,242.

We walked to the bank this morning and that too is close to the house - only .3 mile away!!I put the old school desk in the corner by the bookcase. Seemed a perfect spot for it.
Ken left after lunch to go up to Happy Trails to do a little work up there in the tractor barn. Soon the tractor will be able to actually fit in there again!!
I decided to stay home and get a little house work done. We are pretty much settled in now and can just relax a bit and do some projects here and there when we feel like it. I still have to get the spare room done. We have started calling it Cheryl's Room. :)
I haven't done my Body Electric CD since we've moved and need to get that started again BUT I can't find it. Sure hope it shows up. I recorded some shows many years ago on PBS. Some of her shows are still on but not around here. I know you can buy some of her CD's but they aren't the same as her show was. I can probably do the exercises from memory but it's not the same without her. Oh well, I'll just have to keep searching.
It is so nice to have a front porch again. I really missed it at the town house. That's where I'm headed now. On the porch to do some reading. : )
Hope your Monday is a happy one.

A Monday afternoon reading on the porch sounds just perfect. I am wondering who the Cheryl is that now has a room in your house? Enjoy the rest of your Monday!
It sounds like you have made tremendous progress on your moving. Reading a book on the front porch sounds like a wonderful thing to do on a Monday afternoon. I would have to choose the patio because our front porch faces west. The setting sun can be really hot! I hope Cheryl comes to visit soon!
It must be heavenly to be settled so quickly after moving in. I think you two are amazing. Wasn't this about the time you might have moved in if things hadn't sped up a lot?
Oh, that's what I miss and my porch swing. Once you've had that, you'll always want another one. You're getting settled in really good.
It sounds like you're in a very convenient location, near the bank, the library, scenic places to walk. I'm glad you're enjoying your front porch. MJ
Hey there - catching up after my 9 days out of town. I am happy to get back and learn that you are all settled in. That is great! I'm going to look at some of your other posts now. Glad you are doing well and are getting is some good walks.
It sounds like someone (weasel, skunk?) has been enjoying chicken dinners.
What a beautiful morning this must have been. 49 degrees sounds like a perfect temperature to me :) reminds me of autumn.
Your desk is so cute.
How wonderful to be all settled into your new place.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a photo from the porch.
I can't wait to see 'my room'!
