Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Home

We are back from Happy Trails and home again at least for a little while.  When we first walk in the door our house seems HUGE after being in that little trailer!!!  And now it seems pretty empty too.

I didn't walk this morning because I wanted to help Ken work.  We didn't do all that much today because truthfully we were tired of working for three full days and didn't really feel like doing very much.
We decided not to finish the second half of the roof and instead put this tarp over the roof.  It is a heavy duty tarp and should keep things dry.  It is tied down and also the water jugs will hold it down.
We closed up the front of the shed with plywood and next time will cut part of it out and put in the door.  This is how we left it.
Here's the latest picture of the bird nest today.  One very hungry baby and the other two sleep peacefully. There is always one in the crowd! : )
We had a rain shower driving home and there was also a bad accident that had the road closed down but we took an exit and the Ken the great navigator got us around the accident and back on the Rte 70 road in no time.
I think of all the people whose lives have been changed by an accident.  The people in the accident may have live changing consequences and I wonder what events and happenings people may be late for or miss. To me it always makes the traffic a trivial thing and thankful that I wasn't the one in the accident.

Before we came home we stopped at Pei Wei and had supper.  My fortune in my cookie read, Happier times are definitely ahead for you.  I thought Happier?  How can that be, I'm already very happy!!!! : )

I plan on visiting you all tomorrow.  Now, I'm off to sit in a chair and do nothing!!

A happy day to you.

I am glad you got some rest. Sometimes we need to listen to our bodies. Accidents are terrible things. One little second and people's lives can be over or altered for the worst, and there is no going back. Maybe you will be happier-ier? ;^)

It's good to know when to quit!!!

"Uncle A." has to do that a lot, with his workshop projects. Go too long, and start to make mistakes.

Anyway, you have no time line to fulfill. Isn't it lovely, living without regular time lines????????

Oh those birdies!

Hugs....

I hope you and Ken are enjoying your well deserved rest.
Very clever how you are holding the tarp down with water jugs.
The baby birds sure are sweet.

You definitely have earned your rest! Looking good up there at HT. how big will those babies be when you get back? I'm sure there'll be a change. It's sobering to come upon an accident that way.
