Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself;
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today.
I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet.
I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.

Upper shed floor

I went up to see the horse again today and followed the advice that my blogger friend Ruta gave me in a comment.  As I walked up the road the horse came over to the fence to wait for me.  I wonder what his name his.  I walked over to the fence and started talking to him.  I put out my hand flat with fingers together and he first smelled my hand without touching me.  He turned his head to the side and I kept my hand out then he smelled my hand again but this time he nuzzled my hand.  It was so cool, and yes, Ruta his nose was incredibly soft.  I then turned my hand over and was going to pet him but he turned his head away.  I thought maybe he didn't want to be rushed so I'll give him my hand again next time and see what happens.

From there I walked into town again, around two of the cemeteries, passed 'The House' and walked over to the gas station where I met Ken getting some gas for the tractor.  Before going back up to HT we stopped at the bakery in town where we already know Bird, the woman who owns it and picked up a few delicious looking goodies. By the way the house is only 2 1/2 miles from our land.

It was a beautiful morning and I walked 5.6 miles.

Ken and I got the floor of the upper shed all finished and painted.  It went fast and by lunch time we were done.
We are building the upper shed up the hill from the tractor barn and trailer.  You see the trailer down there in the picture.  The hill doesn't look like much in the picture but it is quite a trek and is 110 steps.  Good exercise going up and down there.  As you can also see from the picture the trees are starting to leaf up.
We left for home 1:00 after we had lunch.  We can really see the difference in the greenery driving home.  Once we get to Cumberland all the leaves on the trees are out.

Now that we are home we are planning on staying here for a week or so.  We have a few things that need to be done here and some appointments to keep.  And the big thing here now, is to get the townhouse up for sale.  There is really not much to do, expect get the basement cleaned up and Ken has to do that because it is all his stuff.  I hope people like my purple office because I don't want to have to repaint it!

It's nice to be on my big computer here at home and not have to go to McDonalds to be on line. : )

A very happy day to you my friends.

A kind word is never lost.
It keeps going on,
from one person to another,
until it comes back to you again.

Kerri - I looked up Romney, WV.  We are 61 miles north west from there.
BettyC - I've forgotten where you live, but as far as meeting me.  If you live near by I'd love to meet you for lunch.  Email me if you would like to. : )

Hope the town house sells quickly... I can only imagine how excited you two are.

Glad you are making friends with the horse.

    Hugs,

And since he already comes over to you, I'm sure he will guide you the rest of the way... In the Dance. so cute.

Please keep us posted. Mmmm, and pics of course. Well, not if he doesn't seem to LIKE having his pic taken! Don't want to put-him-off in any way. :-)
