Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Saturday

I dressed for a temperature in the 50's this morning and was surprised that it was only 39 degrees!  But the sun soon came out and warmed it up a bit so I wasn't chilly for long.
I walked part of a regular route that I walk and then took a little detour and walked down this road here.
It is marked private but they let you walk through to cross this little foot bridge which goes through to a dead end road.
I stopped on the bridge and took this picture of the little stream that it crosses.
This street I walked down was nice and colorful with the trees blooming and the forsythia now in bloom.
I walked through the school parking lot and field and then on to a path through the woods. As you can see from the picture everything is turning green.  It seems to have happened over night.  The deer in the picture is one of 14 I saw this morning.
The birds were singing and calling out to each other and with the sun shinning made for a cheerful morning. : )
There were quite a few people scattered about walking along my route.  It really was a beautiful morning.

I walked 6 miles.

Plan on hanging around home some today, going out to do some errands and maybe stop at a quilt fair near home.

Hope your Saturday is a good one filled with sunshine.

Vee -  Yes, I'm back to my normal self and fell fine.  I'm eating better and have added lots of fruits and vegetable to my daily diet and drinking more water than I used to.
OE - There is garlic in my chili too. : )
SisterService - If you click on the word Chili in yesterdays post it will take you to the recipe.

Wow! That grass really greened up fast. It gives me hope. I had to take a closer look at the deer in the thicket ...wonderful photo. Very glad that you are feeling normal again. I don't think any of us would go wrong to add extra fruit, vegetables, and water to our diets.

14 deer? Wow, that's a lot in one morning. The blooming of the forsythia always adds such a cheerful note to the winter weary landscape.
I just noticed the little ladybug on your sidebar. What a perfect quote you added to it.
So glad to hear that you are feeling good once again.
