Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

One fine day : )

It rained last night but stopped by the time I left for my walk.  It was 36 degrees out and it wasn't long before the sky cleared and the sun came out.
I walked on over to the lake and this time I walked all the way around it.  I kept to the lower path and walked directly to the lake from home so I still didn't walk my full 6 miles.

I saw Barb and she welcomed me back to the lake and said it as good to see me there again.  I told her it was great to be back. : )

Lots of wild life about this morning.  I saw 4 deer and the fox on the way to the lake.   At the lake I saw a bunny again and this time got a picture.  I put it up on my photo blog because it turned out pretty good!  I have talked about the pair of black and white ducks that are always together before and the last time I only saw the white one and wondered what had happened to the black one.  I was happy to see them both together again today.

The heron was about and so was the white egret and of course all the usual geese were around as usual.  The different birds I saw were, cardinals, chickadees, blue birds, a mocking bird, and robins.

This hill of daffodils is along the path behind the church.  The picture just does not to it justice.  It was beautiful in person.
It was a beautiful morning.
I walked 5.2 miles.

Ken and I went out and about doing this and that getting a few errands done.  Library, Big Lots, Ollies, The Dollar Store and a stop at Wendy's for lunch.  I had a baked potato with cheese on it.

The last errand was to stop and pick up my BeautiControl order.  I've been using this stuff for about 25 years or so and when I first started using it had a consultant Mary, who became my friend.  You can't buy the products in stores and it is sold like Mary Kay.  I tried Mary Kay years ago but my face didn't take to it.  BeautiControl is the only stuff that doesn't burn my face and I really love all the products.  I don't wear much makeup, just a bit of eye liner and mascara but use a lot of the cleansers and moisturizers.  Anyway, Mary stopped selling it and we moved away and for years I have just bought the products on line.  But the site is not user friendly and I ALWAYS have such a hard time finding and buying the products I want, not to mention the cost of the postage.  So the other day when asked on the website if I wanted to find a consultant near home I said yes.  I was contacted right away by Cynthia and she has become my consultant.  : )  I met her today when I picked up the products that I ordered.  I now no longer have to deal with that frustrating web site, don't have to pay postage, and Cynthia added a few little extra goodies with my order for free.  She is very nice and I think I may have just made another friend. : )

It was a beautiful spring day today.  So nice that when we got home we got to sit out on the deck for a while.  Ken read and I made more weave-it squares.  We stayed out there until it was time to come in and cook dinner.
We didn't have to cook dinner because we had left over chili from when Ken made it a while back, so we just had to heat it up.  It was his own recipe he made up and it was very good!!  Has lots of red kidney beans in it so it is a good source of fiber. : )

After supper before washing up the dishes I made some spinach and bean soup and that will be tomorrows supper.

When I get off the computer, I will have some time to read before we have a our snack and watch a little television.  I enjoyed my ice cream yesterday and I haven't decided yet what I will be having for my snack tonight, but whatever it is I will enjoy it. : )

So that's been my day and it has been quite a good one.
Hope you enjoyed your day as well.
Happyone : )
To find the universal elements enough;
to find the air and the water exhilarating;
to be refreshed by a morning walk or an evening saunter....
to be thrilled by the stars at night;
to be elated over a bird's nest or a windflower in spring,
these are some of the rewards of the simple life.

It does sound like a very pleasant day. Like you, I had a bad experience with Mary Kay a long time ago and have always gone very easy on the make-up. I have never heard of that kind you use, but maybe I should find out if they have it out here. I wear a little eye shadow and lip stock to school and church, but nothing (make-up wise) around home. We are also having chili for dinner -- made some crock-pot chili this afternoon...feeling domestic today. Will have to post about it later! Enjoy the weekend. Love your photos!

You're getting right back up to speed. Always interesting to learn what gals use for their beauty products. I'd never heard of that brand before.

Sounds like a good day for you! Well, Mary Kay has been my friend for over 36 years now! No problems here for me with it! I know how you feel to have a consultant nearby for the products you like to use.

We had a beautiful day here today. Lots of sunshine and the high temperature was in the mid-sixties.

Take care of yourself!

Sounds like a lovely day.
I'm not familiar with BeautiControl products. I did try Mary Kay for a while, but now just pick up what I need at the drug store.
Spinach and bean soup sounds yummy to me. You'll be glad to not have to think about what's for dinner today.

So nice, for you to be meeting up with old walking friends again! :-)

I know how it is, to use one facial product, for years and years and years. With me, it's "Oil Of Olay Moisturizer with Sun Protection". But it's easy to get. Glad you have solved your issue with getting yours, again!

Sitting out on the deck! Now there is a sign of spring!!!
