Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Guess where I've been

If you've been wondering where I've been, I ended up in the hospital in the emergency room late Sunday night with a fever and abdominal pain.  Thought it might be my appendix but it turned out to be Diverticulitis and they admitted me.
I'm home now and doing better, but the antibiotics are doing a number on me which I have to take for 12 days.
No energy for walking for a while.  I'll be taking a break from blogging as well but will probably be around to visit you once in a while.

I would very much appreciate your prayers. : )

And please a prayer for Ken too who is taking very good care of me.
From Ken
I'll be back when I'm feeling better.
Till then......
Have a happy day.
Happyone : )

Issiah 40:31
But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength:
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary.
They shall walk and not faint.

Bless your heart! I was diagnosed with diverticulosis after an attack of diverticulitis last August. I remember the pain and the antibiotics well! I hope you will be feeling much better soon . Catch up on some reading or knitting.

Oh that does not sound like fun. John has to be careful of such things...I suppose that we all do. We're praying for you and trusting that you'll be back walking in good time. How good to have Ken there looking out for you. (And here I thought that you'd made a break for Happy Trails.)

ER/hospital are not fun places to "visit." -sigh-

Take meds, rest, follow doctor's orders, rest, read, rest, watch netflix, rest, knit, rest... :-)

Be well soon!!!

Gentle hugs,
"Auntie"

I had missed you and wondered where you were. So sorry to hear you've had this problem but hope that you recover quickly. I know you must be in good shape from all that walking and that really will help with the speedy recovery! I think that my recovery from surgery last summer was faster because I walk to much. So for now, rest and relax and yes, absolutely, you will be in my prayers! Heal quickly, friend!

I would have never guessed that this is where you've been! I had noticed you missing for a few days and figured you were probably at Happy Trails.
I am so sorry to hear that you have been going through this. You can count on my prayers for both you and Ken.

I've been following your blog as I too like to walk although it's hard in Upstate NY in the winter with all the snow and ice. I enjoy your daily posts and am so sorry to hear that you're "down" for a while -- praying that you will soon be feeling much better and out there on the trails again!

Oh my gosh! Get well soon Karen!! I will say prayers for both you and Ken. My dad suffered with that also so every once in a while I consume only liquids for a few days....hoping that it will keep things moving smoothly. Probably doesn't really do any good, except in my mind. LOL May 10,000 angels surround you as you heal. God Bless.

So glad you're home. As nice as your hospital was, they're not healthy places to lodge :-) Take good care of yourself. You'll be healthier than ever before you know it.
