Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Another blue sky day

This morning was another sunny one with a temperature of 26 degrees with no wind so it was a beautiful morning to be out walking.
Look at the blue sky!
Sleeping geese
I walked around the lake.
It was a quiet morning with few people out and not a lot of wildlife either. I saw some birds - cardinals, robins, and a blue bird.

I walked 6.2 miles which was 12,139 steps.

Knitting day once again so off I went to the mill in Savage.  I worked on weave-it squares and made five of them.  There were only 8 of us there and two people left early at 11:00.  Though the group was small it was still a good time. : )

I worked on the bird puzzle for a while this afternoon.  The edge is finished and the cardinal and the blue jay are pretty much done.  The red and blue were the easiest colors to find so I started on those two first.

We are supposed to get a measurable amount of snow starting tonight and into tomorrow so we decided we had better go out for pizza today for supper just encase we are snowed in tomorrow.  If it is going to snow then I hope we get a lot.  An inch or two just makes a mess.
We went to Ledo's this time.  Their pizza is good, just different and I think of it as nacho pizza.  We went to a different Ledo's than we usually do.  This one is across the street from a diary farm and we sat by a big window and watched the cows.

Tonight we watched And Justice For All which we got from the library.  It was from 1979 and a bit dated but the story was a good even though a depressing one.

We still don't have ice cream so I had some Oreo cookies for my snack.  I eat my Oreos by taking them apart, first eating the icing and then the cookies.  How do you eat Oreos?

Hope you have had a terrific day.

Auntie - I think you have me mixed up with someone else.  I didn't write about Cozy Mysteries, but I am going to check them out.  : )

Betsy - No, haven't seen Monday Morning.  I'll check it out.

I like to take the oreo apart and discard one half and eat the half with the filling. My husband used to eat the extra half for me,

Hi Karen, Snowing here now --after lots of rain all day long. Our temp dropped about 20 degrees in a short time... AND--it's VERY VERY windy...

I used to get 2 Oreos, take both of them apart, put the two sides together with the icing on them--making double icing on a bigger cookie.. Then I'd eat the two odd pieces followed by the good DOUBLE COOKIE... ha ha

Your sky was so blue this morning. We haven't had anything that pretty in a long long time. I'm ready for it!!!

Hugs,
Betsy

Wow, I haven't had an oreo for years. That pizza sounds good. I made mini pizza for dinner tonight...super easy, inexpensive and very yummy. Did a post about it too! Your knitting group always sounds like fun. Someday, maybe I will have time to join such a group around here! Stay warm and safe in the coming storm!

Okay, I can join you in wishing that you'll get plenty of snow. In fact, I will happily let you have all the share that is supposed to be coming our way. We've had snow showers every day for days and I'd just as soon miss this one.

I would think that a smaller group for the knitting group would make it easier for conversation. How do you gals handle that? Do you chat all at once or in smaller groups?

Love how the geese sleep. And oreos are always a good back up plan :)

Re: the "cozy" book mix up... :-)

You posted a pic of a children's book yesterday. The author was Susan Wittig Albert. When I looked this author up, I noticed that she had also written "cozy" mysteries.

That's what I was referring to, in my comment, yesterday.

No blue sky here today so glad we had that yesterday. Today - just snow, snow, snow. Very pretty - with the wind it felt like being in a snow globe at times.

It is Wednesday afternoon here, and I am just now making my rounds.:-)

Pizza sounds good - a favorite here, but we don't have it often, and rarely even go out for it.

Also, we aren't a big fan of Oreos, so they aren't eaten here often. I will say that there is a package in the pantry that has been there for awhile. I bought it to make Oreo Bon Bons, which are really dangerous to have in this house!:-)

Did you get the snow that was predicted? We have just a bit today, enough to look pretty, but ot to cause any major problems.
