Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Magazines for me : )

The temperature was all the way up to 30 degrees this morning - almost a spring day. : )  It was a cloudy morning and no wind at all.
I walked on over to and around the lake again.  The people were few and widely scattered about.
The birds seemed to be doing more than their general morning chirping.  They seemed to be calling out to each other.  I saw quite a lot of cardinals.  I heard a couple of woodpeckers but never did see them.
These geese were enjoying eating some grass for breakfast.
One of the park squirrel made me smile.  As I walked past one of the trash cans out popped a squirrel with a plastic spoon in his mouth.

On the path to the lake which was flooded last week now has a lot of dirt on it.  I'm sure the park workers will be out there scraping it up soon because once it gets wet and turns into mud it can be just as slippery as ice.
I found a dime.
My walk today was 12,550 steps.

It was knitting day again so I left for the mill to make some more weave-it squares.  I was thinking about bringing some of the squares to sew but thought I might sew the wrong squares together talking so I didn't and made more 5 squares.
Last week I was talking about my sewing machine and that I was going to give sewing a try and one of my friends Elenore brought some old magazines she had and gave them to me.  Wasn't she nice?  Thanks so much Elenore.
There were 12 of us there today.

The rest of the afternoon I'll be hanging around home.  I'd like to finish the book I'm reading but probably won't until tomorrow.

It's been cloudy all day long and I do long for some sunshine.
Hope it's sunny where you are.
Till next time......
A happy day to you.

Love the squirrel story!
Good luck with your sewing. I think you have the patience and talent (though hidden so far) for it.

Yep, sunny and very mild here. It feels like Spring.
A very thoughtful gift from Elenore. I'm anxious to see what you decide to sew.

We have been to Tullahoma, TN today to visit G's Dad... The temperature got up to 61 degrees there. AWESOME...

Hope you enjoy the magazines and hope they help you with your interest in sewing. My mother tried to teach me when I was young--but I was not interested.

Have a great day.
Hugs,
Betsy

I've experienced all three of those and don't plan to lose too much sleep over it...ha!

Oh those magazines look intriguing. I think table runners are fun to make.

Thirty degrees must have felt like a heat wave.:-)

I found seven cents in the parking lot at the grocery store this afternoon and picked up the two pennies and one nickle. I thought of you.

We had a very nice day here, and more of the same is due tomorrow.

30 degrees is absolutely balmy for you. We are up in the 70s here today but by Friday we will be back down to the 50s...we'll all be shivering and freezing! Those sewing magazines will give you some great ideas. Can't wait to see what new creative things you will do!
