Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Baked potato topping

It was 68 degrees this morning and it was warm and humid.  Here is the sun trying to shine through the hazy sky.
One thing that is not so pleasant walking on such warm mornings is that when I walk through the spider webs if I'm sweating they stick to me and it is hard to wipe the webs off.  Luckily so far I haven't walked into the spiders who own the web. : )

I walked around the lake and the water was like glass because it was so still out - not a breeze to be felt.  There goes a duck swimming by.
Once again there were a lot of people out around the lake.  Mostly runners today but I saw a lot of the regulars and my walking friends too.

I walked 6.4 miles.

Today I've been home moving a few thing around downstairs.   Put my rocking chair in the living room that was in the corner of the kitchen and moved a desk back into the living room.  A small round table got moved as well and then a whole bunch of little stuff.  I enjoy changing things around every so often.  It helps me clean better and it's just nice to have things a bit different.

As a result I've been on the move walking around the house all day and by tonight I should have a pretty good step count!  I've been doing real good about not becoming obsessed and have kept my steps between 15000 and 16000 with just a few days above that.

I just have some clothes to fold - no rain today so far and all clothes dried on the line.  A few dishes to do and then I'll be done working for the day - except to make dinner.

For lunch today I had a baked potato and tried something different on it -  Newman's Own Lite Raspberry and Walnut salad dressing.  It was really tasty and a lot less calories than if I added butter and sour cream.  I will certainly have it again.  I also think it would make a great potato salad addition.
That's been my day so far.
Hope many things made you smile today. : )

at the end of the day, saying,
I will try again tomorrow.

The sun rise is beautiful; baked potato sounds good. I think I will have that for my supper. Thank you for the idea.

Hmmm...baked potato...love them. (Sour cream...not gobs...a TBS...is supposed to help with blood sugar. It doesn't allow the carbs to go directly to sugar in the first few minutes...it delays the process preventing a sugar spike or so I've read.)

Can you imagine what that spider tells his wife when you get away? "I had one this big!" =D

I am stopping by to tell you that I had two med size baked potatoes for my supper with butter, sour cream and shredded cheese. I enjoyed it so much.

Yes courage is something very special. Some show it every day with their sufferings. Others show courage when a special occasion arises. Both are to be highly commended.

Please check my rather new blog.

We have been having just bits and pieces of sunshine these days. There has also been some rain now and then. The weather is nice on the overall scale. We have a holiday tomorrow so, it will definitely be a good day.

Thank you for the Salad Dressing suggestion! I'm looking for some Salad Dressings to replace the Creamy/Ranch-y kinds. My but that looks/sounds good. Must look for some.

I never use butter on my baked potatoes, and do use Salad Dressings at time. Must try this on, on baked potatoes too.

Oooooooooooooooo. Sticky spider webs. Ooooooooo. Not a nice mind pic. -giggggles-

Beautiful lake picture. Isn't it rare to have it so still?

It is amazing how those steps add up. I get in a lot of steps just at work by taking the stairs and walking over to see someone instead of emailing or calling. I hadn't used my podometer in a long while and even had to replace the battery. But my birthday was back in July, and a couple of days after that, I put in the new battery and decided to see how many steps I take as a 61 year old! :^)

Oh I wouldn't like to walk into a spiders web. I like the sound of the raspberry and walnut dressing - we have Newman's dressings in our supermarkets but I havn't come across that one.
