Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A nice sunny day

The rain is gone and this morning and it was sunny, 62 degrees and a bit on the muggy side.  I walked around the lake and stuck to the paved path all the way around because I thought it would be muddy and wet in the woods because of all the rain.
The parking lot was full and there were so many people running, walking, and biking.  I don't think I've ever seen so many people at the lake so early in the morning.  It seemed like there should have been an event of some kind going on.  I guess a nice day after all the rain, everyone just happened to get out this morning.
I think most of the wildlife went into hiding because of all the people.  Didn't see much except for a few rabbits and they hopped back in the undergrowth as soon as I got near them.  A bit too many people for my liking!  But it was great to have a nice sunny day for walking. : )
I walked 6 miles.

I finally got around to buying a flat of petunias at Walmart.  Now I just have to plant them.  I'll probably do that tomorrow.
I made a short shopping list of 20 items and went to the commissary this morning.  I got every thing I needed and got to go to the express lane with my 20 items.  No lines and I was in and out pretty quick.  As most of you know I love strawberry sandwiches and the strawberries were looking mighty good today so I had one for lunch again.

Have a little work to do around the house this afternoon yet and then I'm going to make a zucchini casserole for supper tonight.  Check out the recipe HERE

A happy Wednesday to you.

The zucchini casserole sound delicious. I hope my daughter's friends with gardens will remember me again this year.

I too walked this morning. 62 degrees, the smell of wild honeysuckle: heavenly!

Petunias are a great border plant. I wish our weather would warm up, we are back into our winter clothing as it is so cold.

Oh then there's hope? That the sun will come out tomorrow? I've about given up.

We're having grilled chicken salad and peanut chews for dessert. (I usually can't share this things because I usually don't know until the last possible minute.) Enjoy your zucchini casserole!

We have been enjoying lots of strawberries on our cereal in the morning. They have been so good and taste like strawberries SHOULD taste :)
I checked out your recipe and like the sounds of your zucchini recipe. I need to give that one a try.
