Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

My day after walking

We have been given a peek at spring the last couple of days.  Today it was sunny and in the 60's.  I took advantage of this nice day and washed the sheets and hung them outside.

Was going to get started on my chores first thing after breakfast but sat down and read instead.  But just for a little while. I did get some chores done.
Before I knew it lunch time had arrived so I took a break for lunch.

After lunch I made some chocolate chippers for Ken to take to work tomorrow.  He asked me to bake some for a little party they are having for someone moving on to another job.  I kept a dozen aside for us.  I usually don't eat any when I bake them but they just smelled so good and I had to eat one!

Finished up what I was doing before lunch and then got the kitchen cleaned up from the cookie mess.
Read just a bit more and then it was time to get supper started.

I like the time at home after supper, when the dishes are done and there is nothing else left to do.  I like to take my shower in the evening and get warm and cozy.  This evening I read for a while, then it was time for a little television watching.  I had Chocolate Chip ice cream for my snack.  Then I knitted on the baby blanket.  It doesn't matter to me what is on television because I'm most just knitting anyway.  Ken usually controls the remote and that is fine with me.

That's been my day.  Not time for bed yet, so I'll go back to knitting and television.

I hope you too enjoyed your day and that you smiled often.
Good night and hope you have pleasant dreams.

John usually controls the remote, but every now and then...like the second hour of C-Span, I'm ready to chip a bit and suggest that we move on. Ha! Oh I don't know how you don't eat the cookies or how you manage to eat just one. Extreme willpower!

You fit an awful lot into a day. I love chocolate chip cookies.
