Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A Give-A-Way

I've been knitting dish cloths
and have four of them finished.
I'd like to give two of them away.
If you would like a chance to win them
just leave a comment here
saying what you like about my blog
or why you read it and
which two you would like.
Blue, Yellow, or Rust/Brown.
They are 7 x 7 inches square.
I use them for washing dishes
but they are nice as face clothes too.
I will pick a winner from among the comments.

You have until Tuesday night to leave a comment.
I will pick a winner a week from today on Wednesday (February 15) and announce the winner that day.
Hope you like them and good luck. : )

These are beautiful - I am too far away to receive one but I would love a copy of the pattern if you could print it on your blog. Thanks.

Oh gosh, they are so pretty. I'd be afraid to mess them up on dirty dishes :). How sweet of you to give them away!
Since I have already been the lucky recipient of your beautiful work, I'm going to let the others have a chance at winning them. But, I will tell you why I enjoy your blog. Well, actually there are a lot of reasons, but I think most importantly is that you inspire me to get out there and walk and I like your outlook on life and though I haven't met you I know this world is a better place with you in it.

I smiled when I saw your post of the dish clothes. My friend uses this same pattern and always carries one in progress with her, and no matter if it is waiting for the movie to start, or dinner to be served, she gets a few rows done. These are too nice for washing dishes, maybe as a hot dishes table protector.

I read here for the continuity. You can be counted upon to provide the details of your walk and your day right down to what snack you will enjoy. I'm a creature of habit I guess. I use my dishcloths as napkins. They work great for that purpose as well!
