I saw three deer on the path to the lake and a couple of cardinals at the lake. Only a few people were out and about this morning.
Two trucks with park workers were driving around the lake checking things out just making sure things were as they should be. One stopped to say Good Morning to me. Pretty quite out there this morning and a great morning for walking!!
I found my first coin for the year. Only a penny, but it's a start.
I walked 6.5 miles.

The truck was parked in front of the garage on the side where my car was and i was too lazy to move it so i just drove the truck today going to my Tuesday knitting group. Again this week i knitted on the baby blanket.
No stopping at the library for me today. So far i've been good about not getting library books out. I just may make a good dent on those four book shelves of books of mine to read.
I've started reading the Bible again and this year i'll be reading from the KJV. I'm not reading it straight through but have a schedule which skips around all over which i like.
- Sunday the passages are from the Epistles
- Monday - The Law
- Tuesday - History
- Wednesday - Psalms
- Thursday - Poetry
- Friday - Prophecy
- Saturday - Gospels
I'll also be publishing a post about the weave-it afghan and donation raffle.

It must've been brrrisk walking this morning. Our temps have nosedived to the teens after being in the 40s yesterday. I liked yesterday.
We should begin reading through the Bible, too. Must mention it to John as our devotional has a plan that would be easy to follow.
It is freezing cold here today and windy, but at least the sun is out. Our furnace chose today to quit working so I'm hoping it will be fixed today as it is getting a bit brisk in the house.
I admire you for reading the bible. That sounds like a big undertaking to me.
Looking forward to reading about the afghan raffle.
I thought of you this morning, at 6am. Thought of you, setting out on your walk.
In This Cold!!!
Twas 24 here at 7am. Watched the temps go down...23, 20, 19... Then at 9:30am, it was UP to 21. -grin-
About 22 at noon time when we tried for a walk. "Tried" is the operative word!
I went to library and then we parked in a lot and toddled over to the P.O. for stamps. Toddled on to a store for a couple of things. Toddled on down B'way, but turned around very soon. LOL! We *olden* ones are no where as gutsy as you are!!! :-)
But... we did get out. And walked. A bit. Better than nothing. (Do I sound as if I am convincing myself?????) ,-)
To be down to 5 degrees up in my neck of the woods tonight. Wonder what your low will be, a wee bit south of here?

Greetings from the southwest where is was 50 when I got up, and now is 72. Sort of a lazy day. Warm yourself by the fire, and have my dream of snow.
Hi Karen, Looked like a cold morning for you... Very cold here also yesterday and today!!!! We walked at the track and it was 28 degrees this afternoon--with snow on the path.... Fun Fun!!!!!
We read four passages from the Bible every day (Old Test., Psalms, New Test, Gospel)... It seems to 'make' our day for us.. Glad you are doing this.
Hugs,
Betsy
