Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself;
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today.
I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet.
I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.
~Groucho Marx

This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Friday- this and that

27 degrees this morning when I left on my morning walk.  There was no breeze and the once the sun came up it stayed out and warmed the day up quite fast.
I walked my connect the path route and just saw a few people on the paths.  Stopped to talk to a woman who I see often on this route and also Petey and John who walk this way too.
I walk so many routes and see different people on the different routes I walk.
Three deer were in a back yard nibbling on some bushes.
I walked 6.9 miles.

Sunset 4:59
Once in a while someone will ask how many miles I walk in a year.  I have put a Ticker Factory exercise goal at the footer of my blog where I'm keeping track of my mileage each day this year.  Those of you who wonder how many miles I walk can check it out once in a while if you want.
Last night we watched a movie from Netflix, The King's Speech.  It's a biographical drama about Britain's King George VI who has an embarrassing stutter and finds help from Lionel Logue, an unorthodox speech therapist.  It was surprisingly very good and we both liked it!!
By the afternoon it had warmed up to the low 60's and I took the opportunity to wash my poor dirty car.  Don't get too many nice winter days like this.  Now she is clean and shiny once again.

Hope all is well in your part of the world and that your day is a happy one.
Smiling is infectious,
You can catch it like the flu.
Someone smiled at me today,
And I started smiling too.

To the Anonymous who donated to the American Cancer Society on my behalf today I want to say Thank You.  For some reason my email isn't working right now and if you emailed me to tell me your name I can't get to it right now.  I have put your tickets aside though.  Thanks so much!!  : )

  1. Oh what a Beautiful Morning ;)
    Lovely capture!!

  2. It will be interesting to see how many miles you do walk. I went on a walk today with my son and Peanut. Our weather was in the mid 60s ... felt like springtime.
Congratulations on being proud new land owners. So exciting!
    Have a great weekend.

  3. We've been blessed with such great weather these past couple of days, I wish it would stay. You captured another great sunrise!

  4. The weather has been soo warm I am beginning to feel like I am being jipped of my winter! Darn.

  5. You sure put a lot of miles on your feet!

I thought the "King's Speech" was amazingly good. We just saw "J. Edgar" which was also a really good movie.

  6. -clapping hands- You did it!!!!!! You went-for your fav color red, on your blog look.

    Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! I love it!
