I walked around the lake. I saw the heron down by the water but when i went to get a picture of him he flew across the lake. Spotted ten deer - there were three groups of three of them and then one lone deer.
Not a lot of other people out but enough to say good morning a few times.
Even though it was rainy and i was wet it was still nice to be out there walking. I liked listening to the rain drip down through the leaves on the trees.
I walked 6.2 miles.

I didn't go to my knitting group again this Tuesday. It was such a rainy dreary day and i had lots to do to keep busy at home. Remember those scarves i knitted for the six women Ken works with? There is a picture of them in the post HERE. I bought white bags and decorated them with a few stamps, put a scarf in each bag with tissue paper and now they are ready for Ken to take to work. I hope they like them!
I turned the Christmas tree lights on, opened the box of tinsel and put it on the tree. Now the tree is finished!! : )
At my kitchen window i put up a mini tree with lights and a little tinsel.
I still have to clean up the mess i made making those little gift bags and I noticed my basket in the closet is filled with things that need to be shredded so i'll do a little shredding this afternoon too which i like to do. I'll end the afternoon getting a little reading in.
A happy day to you.
Happyone : )A happy day to you.
I sometimes think we expect too much of Christmas Day.
We try to crowd into it the long arrears of kindliness
and humanity of the whole year.
As for me, I like to take my Christmas
a little at a time, all through the year.
And thus I drift along into the holidays.
Let them overtake me unexpectedly -
waking up some fine morning
and suddenly saying to myself:
"Why, this is Christmas Day!"

Your tree is beautiful. I'm sorry you got wet on your walk, but sometimes walking in the rain/mist is mystical experience.
It certainly was a wet dreary day, tomorrow is more of the same only raining harder. I suppose without the rain, we wouldn't get the sun. You are way ahead of me on the decorating. You've given me motivation to get started, thank you! Love the scarves, as always, you did a fantastic job, so talented!
Misty/moisty day here toooooo. :-)
Your trees are simply beautiful. Contemplating whether to show them to next door Granddaughter or not. Emma fell in love with the look of tinsel covered Christmas Tree we had, when her Dad was little.
She's probably never seen it, for real. :-) You are so patient, to apply it.
The gifts bags are lovely. What did we do, before gift bags and tissue paper, hu????????

Mmmmm, Emma fell in love with pictures in an old photo album, of tinsel covered trees from years ago.
I left out the important... in old photo album. ,-)

I so enjoy reading your posts!
Your Christmas tree is beautiful. The tinsel definitely added that special touch.
And - what a wonderful thing to do - gift bags and scarves. You are one talented lady with a big heart!
George and I have gotten wet while hiking many times... It's not too bad when it is not too cold outside...
Love both of your trees... Haven't seen any little icicles (tinsel) in years and years... I used to use them and was so careful when I put them on the tree.... ha ha
Hugs,
Betsy
Obviously, Mr. Grayson has someone else taking care of Christmas for him! Just like a man.
I knew it. Your tree is beautiful with all the tinsel painstakingly placed. Simply lovely.
Your weather is warmer than Phoenix. This morning it was 30 when I got up at 5. I had to go out, and was chilled to the bone by the time the car warmed up. What a wimp! And I grew up in the mountains of Wyoming.
Hi Happyone,
I wish that I had your energy to walk like you do! It sounds and looks so beautiful and peaceful.
Love your trees!

Your trees are just the thing to brighten a rainy day. We are having the same weather here.
I bought a pkg. of tinsel yesterday and plan to put it on a little tree in my bedroom.
I know there are going to be some happy ladies at Ken's office today. The bags turned out so cute.
