I walked the opposite way around the lake than i usually do and i stayed on the lower path. Lots of people around - walkers, dog walkers, runners, a bike rider and fishermen.
Since i cut my walk a little short around the lake, i also walked along one of my paths for a bit. I saw only one deer and he was trying to hide from me in the woods but i saw him anyway. We just stared at each other for a bit and then i went on my way.
I like these days when i have to wear a sweatshirt because mine has pockets and i put my camera in one and my cell phone in the other and i can have my hands free.
I found a lucky penny today!
Walked 6.4 miles.

I made up a shopping list and headed out to the commissary. A beautiful sunny day and so nice to be driving in my car. No lines at the commissary and the renovations are just about done. Work on the last section is just about completed. It will look like a REAL modern grocery store! It's looking like fall inside as well. A nice pumpkin display is here for us to enjoy as we do our shopping. : )
I usually say something at the check out to the bagger to please put the cold things in the insulated canvas bag which most times they just ignore. Today i decided to say nothing at all and just rearrange the stuff on my own once i got out of the store. So as you can imagine i was pleasantly surprised to find that the bagger did it exactly right, even down to closing the zipper. Well done!! I said Thanks and gave him an extra dollar!
I bought strawberries for a strawberry sandwich for lunch but at the last minute decided to have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich instead. Later in the afternoon i had some strawberries for a snack.
Finished knitting the very last white square just a little while ago. I'll get started on sewing that last row together probably later this evening.
I also got some work done on the computer and started one of my library books from yesterday. Tried sitting outside but the deck was in the shade and it was a bit cool for sitting out there. It is in the sun now so i think i'll give it a try again when i get finished with this post.

A few weeks ago while i was on my blogging break i was in an accident with my car. It was just a fender bender but my beautiful car got a few scratches on it. : ( To make matters worse it was my fault. It was a rainy day and i was driving down a four lane road when the car in front of the car i was behind decided to stop in the middle of the road. The car in front of me almost crashed into the car but he managed to stop in time. No so for me, as i tried to stop, i skidded and slid into the car in front. Luckily i was paying attention and had already started stopping. I hit an older white Prius and just hit into his bumper and broke a piece off. My license plate got bent and there were some scratches on my car. It looked a lot better than i imagined as i got out of the car to look at it. At least no one got hurt and the man was really very nice. Oh well accidents do happen. This was my first accident in 43 years. I still feel like a fool though.Hope your day was filled with sunshine.
Happyone : )
I am often accused of being childish.
I prefer to interpret that as child-like.
I still get wildly enthusiastic about little things.
I play with leaves.
I skip down the street and run against the wind.
I never water my garden without soaking myself.
It has been after such times of joy that i have
achieved my greatest creativity and produced my best work.

If we all confessed to errors while driving and remembered them, perhaps we'd all be more sympathetic when someone else makes a mistake. Gotta love someone who jacks up on the spot. Does she brake for squirrels or something? Bet you're keeping a bit more distance these days. That's the other thing, we learn to do better. (I recently pulled out in front of someone. Never saw him! Ackkkkk... Mercifully, he was able to avoid me and no one and no car got hurt. Now I have some sunglasses with me at all times. See what I mean about learning?)
The days really are cool just now, aren't they? Are you expecting a warm-up for the weekend? We are.
It will be fun to see your fall - ours is nearly over and snow is expected tomorrow here in the mountains. Glad only the cars got "hurt" and not any of the people.
Hi Karen, Sorry about your accident... They do happen... Glad it wasn't worse and glad you weren't hurt.
I know what you mean about the baggers not paying attention to the insulated bags... I have to remind them almost every week....
Have a great evening.
Hugs,
Betsy
Continuing sunshine!!!!!!!!!! Heaven on earth!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)
Plus, with clear skies, the temp got down last night. Another hooray. I want frost, to kill off the *nasty* yard things, so I can go out there and cull away again. -grin-

Oh Hon, I'm so sorry about the fender-bender. And with that amazing record, I'm sure you felt upset.
But, it could have been so much worse, as you know. (Don't ya just hate those "Pollyannas" who say things like that?!?! -grin-)
But........ hugs for you and your pretty car. :-)
Gentle hugs,
