Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Listen to the birds

Another sunny morning, no wind and a temperature of 44 degrees to start off with but the temperature quickly rose and it was 57 when I got back home.  I walked my connect the paths route which takes me past the school.  They have been building an addition on to this school for at least a year and a half.  Trailers were hauled in and were used as classrooms while the work was going on.   I haven't been by this was for a couple of weeks and the work is finally done.  The trailers have been removed and now they are just getting things cleaned up a bit.  They have finished just in time for school to close for the summer.
Not that many people out but a there were a few to say good morning to.  I saw one lady in her back yard along the path picking up after her dog, but instead of putting it in the trash when I looked back she was throwing it over the fence by the path.  I almost went back to say something to her but I didn't.
The only bit of wild life I saw was a few rabbits.  The birds were very talkative today.  I stood on the path and turned in a circle to take this video and so you could hear them and see one of the paths I walked along.

When I get home from my walk now before coming in the house I water my plants out front.  So far they seem to be doing well.  Nothing has died yet. : )

A great walk this morning and I walked 6 miles.
I don't get to see the sunrise anymore with it rising so early now, but it is nice to walk when it's light and sunny out.

Tuesday has rolled around again so off I went to my knitting group.  A nice sunny day so we met outside in the courtyard of the mall.  I brought my own chair this time.  The chairs that are there are not that comfortable and I feel bad that we take up all the chairs.  Other people come wanting to eat their lunch and have no place to sit.  A few of us bring our own chairs.  We will be meeting outside throughout the summer now.  If it rains we will go back to the mill for that week.  Today I worked on weave-it squares again.

I got back home a little after 1:00, had some lunch and ironed a bunch of Ken's shirts.  Then I sat outside on the deck for a bit.
We've eaten supper and now like yesterday I'm going to read for a while before ice cream and a little television.

Hope all is well in your part of the world.
Till next time.......
A smile from me to you.
Happyone : )
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today.
I can chose which it shall be.
Yesterday is dead,
tomorrow hasn't arrived yet.
I have just one day, today,
and I'm going to be happy in it.

I'm lovin this weather too! My goodness those birds are loud, I checked my computer volume to be sure it wasn't turned up. You have so many great paths. Very thoughtful of you to bring your own chair, comfort is important. Love the quote, surprisingly from Groucho.

That quote seems so amusing coming from Groucho. Ha! I watched the vid and loved the path through the woods and the sweet birdsong. They are in fine singing form. Do you do weave-its all week or just on Tuesdays when you meet with your group? That lady throwing dog poo over the fence...ugh...how nasty. I think I'd leave her a nice little note. Really, it would be a nice note, though it would ask her a question about how she would like her paths to be littered.

You remind me of George's parents. They absolutely love ice cream---Butter Pecan. I think they ate a bowl of ice cream every night. It must be good for you since Dad is almost 99 and Mom is 91.... ha

Have a great Wednesday.
Hugs,
Betsy

Hi Karen, Hope that you are doing god.Seems like a good day that you had. Everything is almost alright in my part of the world. Just a tad too busy that's all. We have bright summer days and the sun never gives up. The work is going good- and the schools are closed for the summer now.

The birds HAVE been amazingly vocal, haven't they? Always sounds so cheerful to me.
