Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A few daffodils

I was surprised that it was only 26 degrees this morning, but somehow 26 feels warmer in March than it does in January.  There was no breeze and after awhile the sun came up.  Here's the pretty sky I got to see this morning.
I walked my original connect the path walk.  I didn't see any people at all until I had walked over two miles and which brought me to the school which is where I took the picture.  And then I saw a couple of teachers walking from the parking lot to the school.  Along the first path in the dark I heard a couple of deer running in the woods.  I couldn't see them at first and then I just saw their white tails as they ran away through the trees.  Later when it was light out I saw six more.  I found a tennis ball along one of the paths that runs along a stream and I threw the ball in the water and watched it float on down the water.  I wonder where it will end up.
The birds were all busy this morning flitting about and singing.  Once again it was nice to have the paths to myself.  What a beautiful morning.
I walked 6.1 miles.

A rush around the house this morning to make it out of the house to go to my Tuesday morning knitting group. Got there around 10 and as usual enjoyed my morning with my fellow knitters.
Walking in the parking lot at the mill I saw my first blooming daffodils of the season.  I've seen lots of them about to bloom but these are the first actually blooming.  Of course being a blogger I just had to take a picture.
I didn't have to go to the library so I went home right from knitting and had a late lunch.
Just hanging around home this afternoon doing what I usually do.

A happy day to you.

The daffodils look so cheerful. If I ever heard deer running in the woods, I'd be freaked. Do you ever find it unsettling to walk alone so early? I'm just a scaredy-cat. What a pretty sky...obviously, a lot of folks going somewhere else.

No Vee I don't. It just never occurs to me to be afraid.

Thanks for the prayers for a new job (from your lips to God's ears). Your picture of sunrise this morning is just beautiful, so peaceful. Although cooler in the mornings, I understand why you prefer the mornings to the evenings. I have a neighbor whose daffodils are in full bloom, which lead me to check around my house last weekend. This Friday we're suppose to have temps in the mid-70s, I'm sure we'll have some budding in the next week, I can't wait, I love spring too :)

We're also enjoying our first blooming daffodils. They make the weather seem warmer. I really like your sky photo.

So glad you had a great walk, I think about you when I am walking my three miles, and wonder what beautiful scenery you will see that day. I am hearing more and more birds sing now. Thanks for sharing your day.

What an AMAZING sky!!! And you are soooo right - 26 in March DOES feel warmer than 26 in January :) We have had a LOT of rain lately - with warmer temps coming tomorrow - maybe I'll see some flowers popping up :)

A very pretty picture of the sky.
I think the first daffodils of the season are always such a welcome sight. Definitely worthy of a photo.
