I made mashed potatoes and a vegetable to go with it but next time I will serve it over angel hair spaghetti. The chicken was very tender and was super easy to make. The recipe is HERE.
I am happy to say that the temperature stayed just above freezing last night so all we got was rain!! This morning I walked mid morning because I waited until it stopped raining and the temperature got up to 38 degrees. It was a real slushy mess out there as you can tell by the picture. With so much melting going on it my feet got wet too. I am not complaining though because I did get to walk outside. My walk was very haphazard and don't even think I could retrace it. I walked down sidewalks, roads, parking lots and anywhere I could where it was clear. I'm hoping temperatures won't freeze over night.
I didn't see anyone else out walking but I did see a friend driving who tooted at me. :-) Lots of Robins out again but that was all the wildlife I spotted.
Just as I was getting home there was a slight mist coming down.
I walked 6 miles.

I usually eat breakfast when I get back from walking but since I left later I ate first. I was going to do some house stuff but ended up sitting down and reading until I left at 9:30. When I got back from walking I continued reading my book, A Good Yarn by Debbie Macomber until I finished it. This was the second book in the Blossom Street series and I thought it was very good. Lydia teaches another knitting class at her shop and once again makes some new friends. This time they learn how to knit socks and the pattern is included in the book. Maybe one day I'll try my hand at socks again. What I really like about the books is that you really get to know the characters and you care about them.
The temperature is up to 45 this afternoon and the sun is shinning. I suppose I should get some work done, but ya know, I have the third Blossom Street book sitting right next to me and I think I'll start that instead!!

Have some fun today.
A smile from me to you.

One of the good things that come of a true marriage is,
that there is one face on which changes come without your seeing them;
or rather there is one face which you can still see the same,
through all the shadows which years have gathered upon it.

Oh that recipe looks wonderful. I will be trying it and serving it over angel hair pasta as you suggest.
Slushy walk for sure. It might've been fun to have a time lapse camera on you today!
My fun has been cleaning out a couple of drawers and visiting blogs. I haven't even needed to bake anything. Perfect. John is on the roof shoveling as I type. I hate that it has come to this again.
Wonderful! You didn't get the ice!!!!
I'd say that was good enough luck, to reward yourself with all day reading!!!
Hugs and ♥'s...
'Cause Valentine Day is coming!
I will be trying the chicken recipe for sure. Looks yummy and always a bonus when the chicken is tender.
Those books sound perfect for you. I think you're entitled to put the work on hold and enjoy reading.
