Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A clean car

A very windy day yesterday but we had lots of sunshine and the temperature made its way up in the low 60's.  I've been wanting to wash my car for quite a long time and I finally got that done yesterday afternoon.  Nice to have a shiny clean car once again.  It really bothers me driving around in a dirty car.

I had a book due at the library yesterday so I had to go to the library.  I dropped it off and actually had the sequel to Pillars of the Earth in my hand, but ended up putting it back.  There was no way I would be able to read it with two other library books sitting home by the time it was due.  So I walked right out the door book free.

Just a breeze this morning but the temperature has gone back to below freezing.  It was 28 when I walked this morning.  I didn't walk any particular route.  One of those days when I just walk all over the place.  I was walking down the road here and spotted Ken going to work.  He didn't see me but I took this picture of him. It's a bit blurry but that's him in the yellow FJ cruiser.

I only saw a couple people out this morning and they were both walking dogs.  When we had the snow around it appears most people didn't pick up after their dogs because now that the snow has melted I see what they left behind all over the place.
A nice but uneventful walk.  It was nice to have the sun out even though it is cold again.
I found a lucky penny.
Walked 6.5 miles.

After some breakfast I'll be heading out to my knitting group at the mill.  Looking forward to seeing everyone and knitting.  I get to drive a nice clean car too. :-)

Make this a happy day.
Happyone :-)

In our fair city, we have a leash law, and have had one for years and years. [Because of my work, but that's a story for another time] And we have a law, that you must pick-up after your dog. All dog walkers go, armed with plastic bags of some sort, to make sure, no one else has to walk in what their dog 'left behind.'

We are used to it. But for a lot of people, betcha' such a law, sounds like *Nirvana*! :-)

{And if you've been to the lovely city of Paris, it would be evident that they should have such a law! But of course, they won't.]

Gentle hugs...

Happy Day to you! The sun is pretty glorious today and my chimes are singing. I'll go to work happy!

Good heavens! If you're not having to watch out for ice, now you must watch out for dog poo. So Ken will not be able to deny heading for work that morning. Ha! A clean car...ohhh, I'd love to have one myself. Perhaps after the next two storms blow by.

AuntA, we too have a law like that only some people just ignore it!
