I had that cup of tea for my snack last night but since my calories were low for the day, I added a couple of graham crackers. My tea was raspberry which is one of my favorites.
Remember those two cards that Ken got from his secret admirer in the mail? Well this time he got a present, a bottle of cologne. It is someone at work for sure because this time it was sitting on his desk! Still, he has no idea of who it could be.

My walk this morning started an hour later than usual. We didn't set the alarm because Ken is taking a vacation day and I didn't wake up. I must have needed the extra sleep because I'm usually awake before the alarm goes off.I had a nice walk around my lake. The temperature was only 18. People were out walking and running, not in great numbers but plenty of people to say Good Morning too. Not much wild life about. I'm looking forward to the warmer weather when I see more animals and some greenery around. I am starting to get tired of just seeing different shades of brown. I am thankful though that we haven't had much ice to keep me from walking this winter!!
I walked 6.4 miles.

I'm at home today just doing this and that around the house. A friend called and we made plans to meet for lunch next week. :-)
Nothing specific to write about - just going about enjoying this nice bright cold day.
I hope you are enjoying your day as well.
A smile from me to you.
Happyone :-)

Monty Wooley is in "The Bishop's Wife." We especially like the fact, that he was from here. He's also in "The Man Who Came To Dinner," set at Christmas time. Ever see that old one?
Guess what? I don't like this Secret Admirer thing, one single bit. :-(((((((((((((( I'm no prude! You know that! But such an obsession is not, not, not a good thing. For any of the people involved. Not for the obsessed female. Not for your husband in the work place. And certainly not for you or your family.
Any way to nip it? It would hardly be nipping it in the bud but... Since he now knows, it is some [semi-deranged] woman at work.......... Isn't there some sort of an "announcement," he can make?
Or the head of the office, can make?
If he's handling it, simply with a joking manner, or not-paying-attention to it, the wrong signal could be sent. And this woman is LOOKING for a signal.
-sigh-
Gentle January hugs...
It must've been good to get some extra sleep. Wonder who this SA could be... Does the cologne smell good? A mystery for sure. I haven't see "The Bishop's Wife" in years. Which version did you watch? I liked the Whitney Houston one because parts of it were filmed in Portland, but the first one is my favorite.
Why am I asking if the cologne smells good? I'm fairly certain that I need a shrink. LOL!
I love the Bishop's wife. The one with Whitney is good. I was going to name my baby Whitney after her if it was a girl .She was great back than. But I am very glad for my Charlie He is a wonderful son. I don't know if I like the Secret Admirer. I have seen to many scary movies. It always turns out bad for the man or the wife. Anyway
I meant to say Good luck. We are going to get snow monday. Not much but a little . Just enough to cover the brown.
The Bishop's Wife is such a wonderful movie. My wife got me hooked on it some years back. There are so many good messages in it.
Happy, I also love them all and the bishops wife is wonderful. As far as the admirer thing just be careful...normally ignoring is the best thing but this is progressive behavior so just be careful, he really should let someone know maybe a nanny-cam would help in his office.. God Bless have a wonderful day Patricia
I would of made a big scene, in a joking way, and asked if anyone else got anything from the secret Santa. Sort of getting the whole office involved in the big mystery. And, I would just leave it sitting on my desk too! Mainly to try and smoke them out of their little hiding place. Seriously though, there are too many crazy people in the world not to take it a little serious. Maybe the gift will be the end of it.

It was great!!! running into you and Ken tonight. What unexpected fun!
I like Anonymous idea, but not a scene, a game from the beginning. Make a place in the kitchen (if they have one), with a sign and the items she/he has given him and on the sign say.... please come forward and tell everyone who you are, my wife really does not appreciate this! :)
The cards and the gift are inappropriate. He should place the cologne in a conspicuous trash can in his office. I think the less said, the better. If someone is playing a joke, it's not funny. If someone is serious, it's scary.
To all who commented on the Secret Admirer - Ken has put up a note about it, but got no reply. He is just ignoring the whole thing. His coworkers do know about it. I'm not that crazy about the whole thing, but not upset about it either.
Vee - the cologne is called Jake, I haven't smelled it because he didn't bring it home. Your comment gave me a chuckle!!
The Bishop's Wife that I saw was the old one with Cary Grant.
AuntieA - have not seen the two movies you mentioned, but I'll give them a try one of these day. Thanks for the recommendations.
THE BISHOP'S WIFE, the one with Loretta Young, is one of my all time favorite films. I also like her in COME TO THE STABLE - another Christmas movie.
That person (assuming it's a woman!) :)leaving your husband gifts should be ashamed of herself.
