Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself;
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today.
I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet.
I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.
~Groucho Marx

This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

God hears all prayers

Another verse from my little white book of promises.

Ephesians 6:18
Pray in the spirit at all times
and pray on every occasion.
Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers
for all believers elsewhere.

I pray in the morning when I start out walking.  Then throughout the day I talk to God all the time.  I know he listens to me and I feel him walking beside me all day. :-)
Do you have a special time that you talk to God?
A cold morning today for my walk - only 17 degrees with a bit of a wind.  Very quiet out there and I only saw 2 people and a handful of cars.
I walked 6 miles.

While I was out walking Ken started on painting the trim.  The darker blue looks great with the lighter blue.  I have started putting things back where they belong.  There are only a couple more places that need to be painted - around the door of the pantry and the little shelf by my computer.  I plan on painting them tomorrow.  No pictures today but I'll post some tomorrow.

I went to church and Ken went out and we met back home lunchtime.
We took a break from the kitchen this afternoon and went to look at some paintings painted by as they were advertised "starving artists" at a hotel.  It was about an hours drive staying off the highways.  Some nice stuff but we didn't buy anything.

It's been a busy weekend and I've haven't had any time to visit an blogs.  I'll be by tomorrow.

I still have work to do in the kitchen putting things back where they belong so I'm off now to continue with that.
I have to add up my calories yet to see if tonight will be an ice cream night.  I hope my calories are low enough because I sure do feel like having some ice cream!!!

I hope your Sunday was a good one!
Happyone :-)

  1. I hope it was an ice cream night. Can't wait to see your colors. I think I'll be near on Thursday. Will you be around?

  2. Cheryl, it was a no ice cream night. Yes, I'll be around Thursday.

  3. Yes, I do pray every evening and throughout the day.

Your newly redecorated kitchen will be beautiful.

  4. Looking forward to seeing your "new" kitchen. Our formal prayer time is in the morning with coffee. Like you, I find myself praying all through the day. Your walk time must afford you lots of time for prayer. All good.

  5. I pray before i go to bed, i think. I don't know, i just talk to God somehow throughout the day, i guess.. so it is never official praying.

Hello my friend.
