Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A nice sunny day :-)

We did go out to eat last night - we went to Friday's.  Haven't been there in a very long time.  Both of us ordered the BBQ Chicken Wrap which was quite tasty and were happy with our choice.  The caramelized onions is what gave it that extra flavor.  Afterward we made a stop at Weis for some ice cream.  Vanilla for Ken and Vanilla Fudge Twirl for me and we ate our ice cream watching the movie Alice which we got from Netflix.  I didn't think the movie was all the great.  It was entertaining, but just okay.

The temperature was  54 degrees this morning when I walked.  I was happy to see the sunrise because it warmed up a bit.  I had on a long sleeve turtle neck shirt and a sweatshirt.  I wasn't cold but I never did get too warm.  No special route today - just walked around on the roads and paths around the neighborhoods.
I was walking down the road and a couple of women were running on the other side of the street.  They looked in their late 30's.  It was a surprise to me to hear one of them say, "I can't believe we are F****** running this early in the morning."  I don't know why it should surprise me because that word is used so casually now a days.  It just bothered me to hear that!!
A bit farther down the road I spotted four deer down by the water.  That was enough to make me smile again!!
I also saw my walking friends Petey and John and we stopped for a little chat.  They always have a pleasant word to say with a smile.

I made Ken and I some French toast on homemade bread for breakfast and then
Ken went out and I cleaned up the kitchen and then I left too and went to do some knitting with my knitting group.  The knitting group I go to on Tuesday morning also meets at Savage Mill on Saturday mornings.  Some of the same people go both times but I met some new people too.  Two people I knew from Tuesday were there.  A small group this morning of only 7 people but they all said that was unusual - usually about 20 people go.

Met Ken back home a little after 12:00 and in the afternoon we went out and about doing a few errands.  The weather was beautiful all day - sunny and cool, a perfect Fall day.

We are home for the day now and later will watch a little television and have our snack of ice cream.  Right now I'm going to read for a while.

Hope your Saturday was a day of sunshine for you too.
Happyone :-)
