We arrived at Deep Creek just before lunch and drove around taking a look at things. Found a nice place to have lunch and ate outside.
We then drove to Swallow Falls State park and walked along a couple of the trails.Down the steps we walkedand along this trail.Came upon a mini falls.Walked along the river. Here is Muddy Creek Falls - it is a 63 feet falls and the tallest one in Maryland. That's Ken at the top of it on the left of the picture.Ken looking at me through the tree.
We had such a nice time at the park and Deep Creek that we decided to come back later in the summer and spend a week here.We checked out places to rent and decided on this condo. It comes complete with everything!!It's right on the water and seems the perfect place for us and we look forward to to spending a relaxing week later in the summer. :-)
Today we went on another day trip. This time in the opposite direction.
I'll tell you about that one tomorrow.
I hope your having a fun weekend too!!
Happyone. :-)

What a beautiful park! We have a similar tree like that at a park near our home. It is on the banks of a creek and it is a cypress tree. Our grandkids love to look through it--they think it is magical! V.
WOW!!! This looks great dear Karen... The pictures are so alluring. I loved them all......
Beautiful! Nice to see Ken's smiling face this time, too. I love day trips and I'm glad that you two are getting a chance to take a few.
Great photos. It looks like a relaxing place to spend your vacation. I love waterfalls!
I am ready to pack my day pack, grab my hiking stick, and head for those falls. Sounds like a great mini-trip, and a nice place to stay later. Art
Those falls (the smaller ones) look perfect for wetting your feet!!!
Looks like a lovely place! Those falls are awesome!!
I'm a big fan of spur of the moment day trips and if they include waterfalls, all the better!! This area looks great. How fun to have a vacation to look forward to.
I'm so glad you'll take a vacation there. The trails at Swallow Falls were mostly covered in snow in late March when we were there. I have a little hemlock planted in my backyard. Guess where I got it from??
