Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A six mile walk for me again this morning. I went along streets and a few paths through the neighborhoods. I even saw a teenager walking to school and was surprised when he answered good morning back to me with a smile on his face. Usually I get a blank stare back. Nice to see a happy one. :-)
A few pictures along my way.

It was a stay at home day today to do cleaning. Not a very exciting day but I do feel good when I finish and everything is shiny.
Also did laundry and ironed.
Then I played around on the computer for a while

The last row of townhouses is just about finished now in our neighborhood. All that's left to do is the landscaping. I'm hoping that the final paving of all the streets will be done soon.

I made Taco Salad for supper and then headed out for my Wednesday night knit group. I'm still knitting things for the preemies and tonight I made a bootie.
Driving on the way there I almost hit a deer. Thank goodness I saw it just in time and that my car has good brakes!!

I was home before 9 and Ken and I had some ice cream for our snack.

I hope you had some happy times today.
Happyone :-)

How nice that you had a nice response from a teenager you past, there are some good ones out there but they are overshadowed by the minority of unpleasant youngsters.
Your knitting group sounds good, I don't know that we have any over here...or maybe we do and I just haven't heard of them!

I imagine that it takes one happy one to recognize another! What's that big red thing in the second picture? Hallejulah that you didn't hit the deer...scary!

Vee, Its a plastic net around part of the bank that has collapsed. It's supposed to keep us from falling down the hill.

I'm so glad you were able to avoid the deer, but that must have been a bit scary. Nice photos from your walk today.
