I walked along the path that leads to the school and walked around that neighborhood. I thought I might run into Gertie, (walker friend who is 86!) out that way but no luck. I don't walk out the way much so don't see her that often.
When I got back around home I walked up to the liquor store and was rewarded with finding 6 pennies in the parking lot. :-) I walked just over 6 miles. One penny for each mile!

It's been a while since I've made pancakes for breakfast so it was quite nice to have them again. No whipped cream on them today, those couple of pounds are still hanging on. Ken went over to Debbi's (daughter) house to help her hang some new inside doors up. Her and the kids will be moving to Denver in the next few months and she is trying to get the house looking it's best in order to sell.
I stayed home today.
- Knitted
- Read
- Cleaned out a few dresser draws
- Watched a couple episodes of Home & Garden on TV
Tonight we will be watching the Raven's football game on television. Hopefully they will win and go on to play in the Super Bowl.
Hope you enjoyed your Saturday.
Happyone :-)
Life is like a blanket too short. You pull it up and your toes rebel, you yank it down and shivers meander about your shoulder; but cheerful folks manage to draw their knees up and pass a very comfortable night.

Nice post as always, Karen. You've so inspired me with your walking that I've actually begun doing it myself. Have walked for an hour several days in a row and feel much the better for it. Thank so much!
That's a fun quote...I'm obviously so not the cheerful type.
Your daughter is moving to Denver and taking the grands with her? Well that can only mean that there'll be some trips West for you and Ken sometime soon.
Your day sounds very productive. I spent mine with my mother and so it was a good day. Very good day.
Rainy today as promised -- I'm wondering if you've enjoyed your walk this morning. A nice rainy walk can be so refreshing. And then home to a warm cup of tea!!
I was sorry that Baltimore lost!
We don't have a Kohl's here - but when I lived in MD it was a favorite of mine.
