Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself;
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today.
I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet.
I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.
~Groucho Marx

This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

White Chocolate Chip Cookies

I walked my connect the path route this morning around the neighborhoods. I didn't see anyone at all along the paths. It was just me and the wildlife. I saw deer, the fox again, a few rabbits, and quite a few crows. The temperature was 30 degrees!! It felt almost balmy out. I haven't walked this particular route in quite a while and it was nice to have the paths all to myself. It was a great walk!! :-)
I knitted another preemie hat and a pair of booties today. I also got a couple more skeins of yarn to make more. I still have some of the other yarns left, but I just wanted different colors to work with.

Baked a batch of chocolate chip cookies but used white chocolate chips instead of the usual chocolate chips. I like both kinds a lot and don't prefer one over the other but Ken likes the ones with the chocolate chips best.
The cookie at the bottom on the right hand side of the picture is the only one with chocolate chips in it. I made that one for Ken. Oh, he still gets to eat the others too!
We planned to go out for pizza tonight and get some of the thick kind (Sicilian) on Tuesday and I've looked forward to it all week. It was well worth the wait. I guess you all must know by now that pizza is my favorite all time food. I could eat it every day. Ken had a part time job once quite a few years ago delivering pizza for Pizza Movers. He got to bring the mistakes home and back then we ate a lot of pizza and we never did get tired of it!! :-)

Friday came around fast this week. Hope your week was a good one and your weekend is even better.
Happyone :-)
Worry doesn’t help tomorrow’s troubles,
but it does ruin today’s happiness.

One last thing.
I'd like to welcome the new followers to my blog.
Thank you all for reading my blog.
And a special thank you to all who leave comments.
It adds a smile to my day. :-)

  1. You really could eat pizza every single day? I like it a lot, but that would be six days too many for me.

Nice walking weather...30º and the path doesn't look so icy anymore.

    Hmmm, your cookies look wonderful.

  2. I never tire of your skyline photos. They are always beautiful. Pizza is something I love, but rarely get to eat. I need to buy some frozen kind at the grocery store next week!

  3. What a beautiful morning sky!

I love pizza too - Hawaiian with Canadian bacon, pineapple, peppers, mushrooms & onion. Yum!

  4. Pizza everyday sounds good to me. We have a local pizza place Erecka Pizza that has large one topping pizza's for 2.99 every Monday. So monday is pizza night.

  5. Your choc chip cookies look exactly like the ones that we can buy in some shops (Marks and Spencer), but which British recipe books don't seem to have caught up with yet. I'd love to have your recipe if you're willing to share your secrets!

Thanks so much for your kind wishes. My Dad is improving, but with quite a way to go yet.

  6. Love the sunrise shot! And I could eat Pizza all the time too!

  7. A good morning walk, pizza and chocolate chip cookies sounds like a winning combination.
    Enjoy your weekend.

  8. Pam was saying you make the best chocolate chip cookies she ever tasted!

  9. I'm like Ken -- I'll eat either kind. But I think white chocolate chip cookies are my favorite. I like pizza, too. You're making me hungry!!

  10. We had California White pizza from Pizza Bolis tonight. I think I could eat pizza every single night, at least for a while. I could go for one of your chippers right about now!
